"We stayed four nights. The ONLY reason we stayed the whole stay was because it was not refundable. This place is grossly overpriced for what you are getting, and I can not recommend it. The room was obscenely damp and musty smelling. There are dehumidifiers at both ends of the hallways, so its not like they are not aware of this problem. There was black mold in the bathroom on the ceiling, which also had plaster work missing, and the shower head was in dire need of replacement. The paint work in the bathroom was sloppy, and the bathroom door was missing hardware. The tile floors in the room were filthy, I used a hand towel to wipe them down when we arrived, and they came up dark brown with grime. I can only imagine that the carpet was the same. Lobby floors were not much better, and there was a foot wide dark stain on the carpet in the middle of our hallway. There was a hole in the drywall as we came off the elevator, and trash was piled up by the vending machine for the first two days of our stay. The breakfast is disappointing powdered eggs, microwave sausage, etc. The whole place just looked dingy."

"I’m giving it a 3 because they advertise a hot tub it doesn’t work, but not only that they don’t even have access to it… I was told not the manager and the owner don’t even know what the temperature is set at cannot control it. That is all I booked the hotel for! I called before I booked to make sure they had one. Very disappointed."

"Disgusting room and stale smelly room. Rude staff, they do not allow you to bring any breakfast, not even just a muffin and coffee up to your room. They would rather you throw it away and waste it if you don't sit down in their breakfast room. Very tacky of them and never had a hotel do this to their guest. This hotel ruined the Comfort Inn name for me. Pics: mold on lamp shade, brown stains on bathroom door, scraped wall and door panels. The stinch in this room will keep you up & nauseous."

"This is the highest quality hotel near the Basilica de San Juan. The rooms are clean well equipped and filled with great amenities. The rooms have a small kitchenette, business desk and comfortable bed(s). Enjoy the vending on every floor flanked by laundry and ice machines. The pool is a great size with a modest gym and expansive continental breakfast with waffles, yogurt, eggs and oatmeal. The addition of beans and salsa show a regional touch that would be appreciated by most. This hotel is conveniently located next to a Laredo Taco Stripes with native food options. That convenience is helpful and gives little reason to leave the hotel."
