"I came from out of state for my Brother's funeral we rented Texan Inn Carrizo Springs TX, in because we have rented there in the past and they've been awesome on the phone they told us at the pool is open we got there and they said it's broken something about the pump we were pretty upset about that! Not sure I will rent there again"

"Staff was very welcoming. The front desk girl at night has awesome customer service. Greeted as soon I walked in. Easy and quick check inn. Negotiable rates! Room was nice and cold. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again, and recommend family and friends!"

"No one at front desk at 1:pm. Rang bell several times..finally some one showed up...asked for key to bathroom ..wouldn't give it me. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast worst ever. No eggs, no meat, no toast..only juice was some awful powered drink..no fruit. Advised staff at checkout. Said would make a note. Won't stay here again"

"Don't believe the family friendly tag. This place is catered directly to out of town workers. They frown upon guests having visitors come over to visit or enjoy things such as the pool or the public picnic area. They are perfectly ok with grown men walking around half naked drinking beer and smoking cigarettes till whatever hours they feel like. Not to mention some of the ridiculous policies they have. For example, you cannot request extra towels unless you turn in the ones you have used. Also the rooms are simply average. They are at least rather large which is about the only thing they have going for them, but as others have posted, the beds are hard and not very comfortable. Housekeeping is also not very good either. The top to our ice container looked like they haven't cleaned it in months and the smoke detector is completely missing. The pool is also a mess with all sorts of junk in it. Most of it is clear plastic that you can't see until you stab your feet with it. That's if they remember to unlock for guests to start with. So if your ok with drunks in the pool and walking around, you'll be fine. If you want family time, might be better off going somewhere else."
