"I enjoyed most of my time at the Big Texan Motel! The room was very quiet, clean and with really great steaks located very nearby! All in all everything was in good working order except for when it came time to sleep. The bed springs do NOT have sufficient padding between themselves and the sleeping surface. It was VERY VERY DIFFICULT TO GET A GOOD NIGHTS REST...!...!...! As a reminder to management, getting a good night's rest is paramount to your mission and you are failing dramatically in this regard. Your overall grade is a D-. Sincerely, Never Again"
"Enjoyed this hotel. Love driving right up to your door (first floor). The decor was cute but the swinging saloon doors got old. Was clean and had good lighting. Dog park was disgusting. Apparently nobody knows how to pick up after their dogs. Both in the dog park and around the property. We carry our own bags but people may be more inclined to pick up if poo bags were provided. Kind of selfish on the towels. There were four bath towels but only one hand/face towel. Ate at the restaurant next-door and enjoyed it and the gift shop. Would stay here again."
"Pay extra for the deluxe themed rooms, it is worth it! No bugs. Watch out at 9:30 the maids will start knocking waiting for dirty towels and stuff Even though check out is at 11. 2008 book in room on the history was informative but book needs to be replaced with a newer one. It looks pretty grungy.. We would definitely stay here again. Their one ice machine was broken. Sink faucet a little loose exhaust fan in bathroom has died."
"I absolutely loved the fact that once we paid you gave us our room number and our key code so we did not have to check in at the front desk. The rooms were very clean and so very quaint the way they are decorated! Loved the fact that they were right next to the Big Texan Steakhouse that was very much a plus to me! Enjoyed our stay very very much"
"I was in town for work and decided to stay at a non commercial hotel and chose the Big Texan Motel. I stayed on the top floor in the big pink building in the back of the parking lot! The room was updated, clean, cozy and warm. There was no issues with plumbing and the water was hot too. The room was cleaned and beds were made every day. I had no issues whatsoever. I felt safe and secure as well. I will stay here again when I'm back in town."
