The Westin Austin Downtown

"This review is specifically for Cindy Knack! I stayed at the Westin mid January for a work event. I arrived early in the morning after a very stressful 24 hours of travel during a massive storm. I was supposed to arrive the afternoon before and my luggage had gotten lost. When I walked up to the front desk, I was greeted with a huge warm smile from Cindy. She took one look at me, and said, we need to get you in your room. I was instantly relieved and comforted by her kind energy. I had called the hotel the day before to let them know about my flights getting canceled, and the person I spoke to said they couldn’t guarantee me an available room when I landed in the morning since it was so early. I was so fried and exhausted from my stressful travel. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder person to help me at my moment in need. Cindy immediately got me into my room, and gave me water and a toiletry kit since I had told her my luggage had gotten left behind after dealing with so many flight cancellations and delays. Thank you Cindy for being the exact person that I needed to see when I got to the hotel! I so appreciated your warmth, kindness, and generosity."

"If I had to rate the manager on duty at The Westin Austin Downtown from 1-5 with 5 being great, professional, reasonable, helpful and personable I would rate him as a ZERO. I had an issue with my room (710) with what looked like bed bugs after a quick google search. I alerted the manager on duty and he was not shocked or surprised and only asked if I have been bitten. I was moved to a different room and told that they would fumigate my old room and would send someone up for inspection. I received 5000 Marriott bonvoy points for my inconvenience."

"We were in town February 1-5 to celebrate several February birthdays. Thank you to the staff who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Specifically, I want to call out David who works at Stella. David provides exceptional customer service. He is personable and attentive. We enjoyed chatting with him. Also, appreciate Chris (GM) and Cindy's kindness."

"Everything was great about this hotel. The rooms were clean. Valet was quick. The rooftop was nice. Cindy at the front desk was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our requests. Location was very central. Definitely would stay again."

"Immediately greeted with smiles from the front desk team. Lucy (form South Africa) checked me in and she was absolutely amazing! My first time in Texas and she gave that southern hospitality as if she was from there. I ate at the restaurant on the ground floor and was served by Armando. Absolutely fantastic service and food! He was so impressive, knew a lot about the city, and went above and beyond for myself and my group. I was there for a conference and the banquets team was ON IT! They never let the food get too low and were awesome at clearing plates and had great smiles for all three days. Food was awesome! Lovely decor, GREAT location! Definitely hope to get back here one day!"
