"Typically a nice experience, however my mom accidentally hit one of the concrete poles at the gas pump. They blamed her for hitting the actual metal case to the gas for a dent that was already there. They sent a detective to her house and made her feel humiliated. They are saying she’s a good person but blaming her for this and making her pay. She will have to file an insurance claim and now her insurance will be going up, and she lives on social security so this will be a financial burden for her. I feel like my 70 year old mother is being taken advantage of by this situation. They are nice of the surface but did not handle this well or with any respect at all."

"My husband and I traveled to Trigg County in an attempt to find the homestead of my Grandfather. I knew that the property is now underwater as a result of the dam that was built many years ago, but long-ago Census Records showed the family property at Rockcastle and Goose Hollow. The Handy Korner Market happens to be RIGHT THERE. When we found ourslves at this intersection I jumped out of the car to ask for guidance. I got SO MUCH more. Sharon and Kim were behind the counter. When I explained my search, which included a few cemeteries, Sharon pulled out a hardbound cemetery book! This book even listed the little 2-person cemeteries with directions to help find them. Sharon copied a few pages for me, and helped me with the directions to find the cemeteries. These cemeteries were on the family property hillside so I knew I would be on family land. She helped me identify the most likely water's edge public area to take photos. She also had a large aerial photo of the land before it was flooded, which she gave me! If ever one needs an example of going above-and-beyond to help someone, THIS is it. We bought an excellent map there. We experienced unmatched kindness from Sharon and Kim. I highly recommend the Handy Korner Market because they have everything that you would expect in a market, and so much more. Thank you, Sharon & Kim. "What a fantastic little korner market and gas station! The people there are so friendly and helpful and Sharon goes way above and beyond to help people out. I had a grease burn and was hoping that I might be able to grab an ace bandage there. They carried those really cool self sticking bandage wraps there, but the one I'd bought earlier in the day at Walmart kept sticking to my clothing and rolling up onto itself on my leg. They didn't carry them but she was so super kind and said she had one at home and would actually be willing to run home and grab one and did. I have never been to any shop where the people were so kind and helpful. Actually makes me long to live in Cadiz Kentucky. Thank you Sharon for helping my husband and I to have a fantastic vacation. From having the perfect poles, and fish bait, to Hawaiian Tropics After Sun, to coolers, and everything else we've needed but most of all, your amazing hospitality thank you again!"
