"Our cabin was ready an hour ahead of check in time and was clean when we arrived. My mom and I are low maintenance people so we found it to be a satisfactory place to stay without any complaints. There were some pans and some cutlery available for use but I would not rely on there being everything you need, at least that was the case in the cabin we were in. We ended up getting disposable bowls and plates as there were not any available. There is a small grocery store about 20 minutes away that had everything we hadn't gotten at Walmart. This is a fantastic place for the guys to stay during a guys trip or for a place to lay your head during a road trip. The mattresses are rather dated and may be a little trouble for people who have difficulty sleeping. There is WiFi available but I did not find it to be reliable, which I imagine has more to do with being in the middle of nowhere or maybe it didn't like my phone. I would say that if you don't have high expectations other than a clean place with a kitchen, then this is a fantastic place to stay."

"I am so thankful I found Fish Island Resort. It was everything I imagined and needed before going back to the "real world" from vacation. It was peaceful, relaxing, and a good place to unwind. The owners were extremely friendly. They put their hearts and souls into making it perfect here. My cabin was so cute, clean, and had everything I needed. I loved sitting outside on the patio at night and in the morning. The property is conveniently located close to lots of fun outdoor activities including.. Kayaking, horseback riding, state parks, walking trails , history and more! It is very close to Land between the Lakes recreation area! This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway or longer. I love that it is off the beaten path , but still in a convenient location. I live 5 hours away and WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK FOR A WEEKEND GETAWAY!"
