"I have rented from them many times and, historically, have had a good experience with them. However, during my most recent experience I was appalled by the lack of quality and maintenance of the trailer, which resulted in significant inconvenience and unexpected expenses on my part. Upon loading the trailer and embarking on my first trip, I immediately encountered tire issues. One tire developed a slow leak, while another tire completely blew out, rendering the trailer unusable. This happened in Cedar Creek on a Saturday when there were no available options for tire repairs or replacements. Of course none of the tire shops were open on Sunday either, leaving me stranded without any way to get moving again till Monday…or so I thought. On Monday I managed to get the tires repaired and replaced, at a cost of $100. In addition to this, I was advised NOT to load the trailer again as there were more tires with significant wear that were already extremely close to failing as well. This means that, in spite of my $100 in tire repair/replacement, the trailer was still unusable to me. I sent a request for partial refund to Austin Rent Way. I told them what the issue was: essentially that the equipment they provided was rendered unusable due to pre-existing tire damage. And while their contract states that tires are the customer's responsibility to repair or replace at their own expense, it should not absolve Austin Rentway from providing functional and safe equipment in the first place. As a customer, I feel that their employees are better equipped to inspect and identify potential issues with the trailers than I am. In their reply, Austin Rent Way stated that they did inspect the trailers every morning. To me, this says that they either did not take the initiative to inspect the tires specifically…or they did see the issues with the tires and they knowingly providing me with a malfunctioning trailer when it would have been more appropriate to either flag the trailer for repairs or charge the previous renter for the damages. Austin Rentway denied my request for a partial refund, stating that once the trailer leaves their facility they have no way of knowing what I do with it and that I returned the trailer later than my scheduled date, without calling them ahead of time to notify them. They (of course) charged me for the additional days."

"We were in a bind. We needed to rent a long trailer…FAST! Our supplier recommended Austin Rent Way just down the road. Now, the place is not much to look at, but don’t let that fool you. They were courteous, quick and super helpful. Their rates were great and they hooked the trailer up for us, fast. Trailers are commercial grade, big wheels, heavy gauge frames. Return was just as easy and quick as the pick up. Austin Rent Way rocks!"
