"Very unaccommodating, rather rude service. They don't take cash. Very awkward and slow to buy wood because you have to tell them exactly what kind of wood you want and get a printed, itemized invoice before you can even browse their woods. Then, you have to wait for individual pallets to be pulled and brought front with the forklift for each kind of wood you want. They don't give prices unless you ask for each specific species and dimension (eg 4/4 soft maple, 6/4 cherry, etc.) prior to shopping... Oh yeah, you also have to ask what species they have in stock because they won't provide a list. Ridiculous! In fact, they have a whole store front AND catalog without any prices listed. You actually have to ask for pricing on every single item (wood putty, glue, hinges, etc.)! After you select your boards - from every pallet they haul out individually, you have to wait for them to haul each pallet back, then write up the totals (rounded up to the nearest board ft), then go back to the store front and wait in a very slow line to pay. Why is the line so slow? Because customers have to ask for pricing on every item. The uncaring shop clerk litterally sits there typing, clicking, and perusing their system for every stinking price they have to look up. I mean, this place is like a bad joke. It's almost unreal how absurd their process is... as if they are actually TRYING to make it hard to buy lumber! I shop a lot of lumber sellers and this is by far the slowest, most unaccommodating place I've ever been to. Their lumber prices sound very competitive, but they end up average like other places because they round every board you buy to the nearest whole board foot. When I complained that they were charging me nearly a whole board foot extra, their attitudes towards this were between indifferent and irritated! One employee said "It's just .4 board ft" and shrugged his shoulders as if I was making a big deal out of nothing, but he obviously didn't understand the basic math because .4 x 2 = .8 which is nearly a whole board foot. These kinds of decimals add up significantly over multiple purchases. If they didn't write their own reviews, then the people shopping there either think they're getting good deals or have never experienced adequate customer service in their lives because giving them 2 stars is very generous."
