GVO Lounge & Bistro

"Extremely disappointed with my recent visit to GVO on National Margarita Day. The experience was far from what I expected from a place with such a promising name. The two bartenders on duty were not only rude but blatantly ignored our attempts to order. It's disheartening to feel discriminated against as they prioritized serving men over us. This was my second visit, the first shortly after it opened, and the decline in service is alarming. I had hoped GVO would stand out in Dallas's sea of overhyped spots, but sadly, it's becoming just another establishment with subpar service. It's frustrating to see a place I once had high hopes for deteriorate like this. Customers shouldn't be treated as mere numbers, especially when they're choosing to spend their hard-earned money here. When we finally did order everything we tried to order we were told was sold out of. This is very bad just a horrible experience overall. Attached are photos of the two bartenders in question. Something needs to change, or this once-promising business will continue its downward spiral."

"Visited this great place for my niece birthday, the service was nothing short of excellent, the drinks were great,but the food....oh my sweetness! Top tier, every bite was so good,im definitely driving two hours to visit again. This place is amazing!"

"Where should I begin with this business?! The lounge and their security are unprofessional, to say the least. Upon arriving, we hear what appears to be many people fighting, yelling, and cussing at one another. Then we see one girl pull another girl through the parking lot before throwing her into the vehicle. Meanwhile, security, with a flashlight on their waist, watches from a distance but does not intervene. As we approach security to enter the lounge, we are informed that they have exceeded capacity and that our party of 12 will not be permitted inside. I was perplexed because, when we were turned away, we watched not one but five other parties being allowed to enter. I spoke with the head of security, or at least I assumed he was. He added that they were let inside the facility after being told no since they had previously been there and were returning, which makes no sense. Rather than arguing. I walked away. As we were leaving, we needed to call another Uber to pick us up. Uber dropped us off. As we left, we witnessed drug dealing and prostitutes. NEVER RETURNING"

"My friends and I came here on a Saturday evening. There was a lot of people here, music was bumping and the DJ was doing his thing. The vibes was nice. I ordered the shrimp and steak with candied yams, mashed potatoes (they were out of cornbread....bummer). I also ordered the chicken pasta to go. All my meals were on point. Tasted great. My friend ordered the catfish, she said it could have been cooked a tad bit more. The Mac and cheese and spinach was ok. Overall I enjoyed the food, the music and the whole vibes. Definitely returning."

"This was my second time here and I feel as if the customer service declined drastically . It took someone awhile to sit me which was surprising since There was a lady at the door whom I had to greet and approach to ask for a table. Then the server took forever to come out to take my order and then when I asked for water (both times) it took about ten minutes each time. I ordered steak fries which is on their menu but they brought out brisket fries. I dont eat brisket so I told them that I ordered steak and the waitress said they dont serve steak fries despite it being listed on their menu which is a pet peeve of mine: why advertise something that you do not sell or why put my order in without informing me first that you dont offer it. I also dont like that they asked me to sign a contract to dine in because after 10pm you have to spend at least $150 for a small table which confused me because there was all of 5 people in there and this is a restaurant not a club. So instead of me and my friend staying longer and ordering more drinks we just left and went elsewhere . Aside from that the wings were good !"
