"Staff was friendly which was great as this was my son’s first time getting his hair cut at a salon. I usually cut it at home but now he wants a longer style and I knew that was beyond my skill set. My husband and I chose Cool Heads, and this location specifically, because of the good reviews. When he got home I was surprised to see quite a bit of length taken off and the fringe very crooked. When not styled there were very noticeable lines that weren’t blended. I finally broke down and decided to fix it. I couldn’t figure out what happened with the scissor cut on top. I took clippers to the top and had to work to get everything even; it was the length of a #8 guard in some places and all the way down to a #5 in others. I told my little guy the next hair cut that he gets by a professional can be a long one but it certainly won’t be from this place. Pretty bummed that we paid $32 for a kids cut that I ultimately had to correct."
"First time customer, new to the area and looking for a good place for a men’s haircut. Cool heads popped up as a suggestion so I thought I would give it a try. I had an ok experience, though a little rushed, and I had to come back in for a quick retouch. Honestly I was expecting a little more for the price. I’m used to Dapper5 up in Prosper, so I may be a little spoiled, but they charge the same price… The haircut came out almost just like the picture I showed her, but she could have been a little softer with the electric clippers (sans guard). I can still feel a little soreness on the back of my neck where she used them. I will try another place next time. Overall not impressed."
"I had never been to this location, but I had the pleasure of taking my grandson to get his haircut the other day. I must say that hair salons have changed a lot since I’ve visited them. The staff was extra friendly and accommodated us, even though we did not have an appointment. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed therefreshments while I waited for my grandson to be done with his awesome haircut. Highly recommend this establishment."
