"Pay to park... really ... If you charge to park overnight I'm not giving you my business. A good way to lose customers. The government mandates that I stop. I don't have a choice, so go after them for money. Not us. I do however still have the choice to not give you my money."

"Ok so here's the 411 on this TA Travel Center of America in Laredo TX. There is no free parking at this location, it costs $8.00 a night. Yes they have a big pot but if coming in be prepared for lots of traffic outside as semis and car's are doing stupid human tricks as there is a Flying J across the street and a Pilot up the street. The inside seemed clean but I didn't look around. There is a Burger King and Taco Bell inside as well as a sit down restaurant. If you can as a truck driver avoid this place at all costs. This is just some of the parking area."

"Had to shut down and decided to come here. This was about 3 PM and there was ample parking. I was starving! But I get real tired of eating fast food or the junk food most truck stops offer. To my surprise, they have a little restaurant "Country Pride". I had the Chicken Fried Steak which wasn't half bad, the mashed potatoes were so-so and had some green beans, which were sauteed and very good. It was nice to sit at a table for a meal! I then had apple pie to take to the truck and that was pretty good too. So I felt I had a half descent healthy meal! The staff was great. "Ann" served me and was attentive. smiling and polite. I later went to do my laundry. They have plenty of washers and dryers and they accept credit cards! A bit pricey at $3.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry! I used the # 2 machine, which accepted my credit card. However, the machine did not work. I went to talk with "Erica", and she arranged to get me refunded, no questions asked. They refunded me in quarters, which I used in the dryer. Erica was very polite and accommodating as well. Lots of stuff in the store and though they didnt have those coffee grinder machines, the regular drip coffee was good. My main truck yard is here in Laredo, so I will make it a point to come here when I need to shut down. Nice to be at a place where the people working there are nice!"
