"I stopped into Prodigy Auto Repair to explain I'd soon be out of town and wanted to arrange repairs while I was gone because I would not need the car during that time. James talked to me about the work I wanted done and said it would be no problem to leave the car with them till I returned. They have a secured lot so I felt comfortable doing so. Surprisingly, James suggested getting the needed parts in advance and bringing them with me to drop off the car. Most shops I've used in the past won't install owner-purchased parts although James had no issue with this. So I dropped off the car half expecting to get a call in the middle of my trip telling me about something else wrong or some reason why the work was delayed, or that the cost would be much higher. None of that happened. I picked up the car 10 days later with the exact work I'd ordered all completed. No hassles of any kind. I'd previously tried to get the same work done at Pep Boys and after 2 weeks with no phone calls I picked up the car to find Pep Boys hadn't bothered to do any of the work. They tried to make it my fault for not knowing the name of the guy who took the car in with my detailed description of what I wanted. Pep Boys also wanted to charge me $40 for adding some coolant to the reserve tank, literally a few ounces. What happened next is another story. None of this was an issue for Prodigy. Great work, friendly service, very fair pricing. No worries, mon!"
