"I brought my rare 2006 Chevy SSR convertible truck to Wired Customs on Thursday 4/6/23 to have the stereo head unit replaced. I was so impressed at the attention to detail as I watched the entire job including the complicated removal of my dash just to get at the existing stereo. The SSR is one of the most difficult vehicles to do stereo work on because the entire dash & passenger side air bag have to be removed in order to access the radio. Everything was done with extreme care & precision in removing all parts carefully and putting it all back together so as not to cause any damage. All wiring connections were soldered and heat wrapped and done the right way, professionally! Upon putting the dash back together they found that the previous shop that installed the previous stereo (before I owned the vehicle) had not even put everything back the way it was supposed to be. Vents were not connected correctly, bolts & nuts were not put back, etc. Wired Customs took all the extra time to redo all of that to make sure everything behind the dash was connected as it should be. While my install took several more hours than originally quoted, this was in no way the fault of the shop. It was because they worked diligently to make sure the job was done right and complete and I appreciated that! They did not even plan to charge me for all the extra labor but I told them to add an additional $50 to the labor cost quoted because of all the extra work & time they spent making sure it was done the way it should be. They have over 30+ years of experience in audio, alarms, lighting & custom installations so, Wired Customs will be my 'go to' place for all audio, alarm, AV and lighting needs that I have in the future. I highly recommend them if you are as OCD about your vehicles (as I am) and want them to treat it as their own and if you value work that is truly professional and done right the first time, then, this is your place.
