"This is definitely not your traditional Japanese style restaurant. From the moment we arrived, all the way through our dinning experience, we were constantly reminded that this is a place of efficiency, not pleasure to enjoy the experience. Once we said that we did not have a reservation, we were placed on a time limit to dine and be out because they "needed the table". To our surprise we didn't see any tables reserved. We sat at the bar and the staff was strictly focused on preparing the food - 0 interaction with the customer, unlike in other sushi bar settings, not even to answer questions. While the decor is neat and modern, the setting is very tight as the tables are super close to each other. We were given our check even before we finished our meal and were rushed out. The food itself was good but more of a fusion than traditional Japanese - a roll with pico de gallo was a total mystery on the palette. The octopus sushi had a nice refreshing bite of lemon, but was not tenderized at all. Our server was not very knowledgeable of the drinks on the menu and had to go back to the bar multiple times to pass on our questions. At the end, we were very surprised by the "mixed bev tax" - first time seeing it. Worth trying once anyways, but not a spot on my top list."

"Every week we go on a “micro adventure” and try a new place. We heard great things about this restaurant from a foodie group that we are in. When we arrived we were impressed by the buildout. The inside is very pretty. There was no bartender so we sat at the sushi bar instead of the bar. It was interesting to watch food being prepared but no one interacted with us or even served us which was odd. We had a waitress but she would stand at a really odd place so we had to turn around to interact and she never knew when we had a mouth full of food. While the rangoons were delicious, overall the food was really lackluster. We were taken aback by the size and quantity of the rolls compared to the pricing. I personally didn’t care for the texture of the rolls as they were very loose and squishy. Any way, the specialty cocktails I ordered were really good. I had a blue and orange and then tried a spicy tequila based drink. I would definitely recommend trying one of those. I would absolutely avoid a plain cocktail. A Tito’s and soda is $11.50. You can grab one of those anywhere for half the price. We did enjoy the atmosphere and trying a new place out until the very end. While we were wrapping up, a hostess came over to us and made us move down one seat to accommodate a new party of two. Normally, no big deal. But the entire sushi bar was open except for one other couple. So we had to move all of our stuff over, move seats, and have a huge ordeal instead of the hostess waiting about 5 minutes for us to tip out and leave or sit the duo over a few chairs. That was absolutely ridiculous. Overall, fun to try a new place but we won’t be back. It’s way too expensive for the service, drinks, and food."

"Started with spicy edamame. I loved it! Got the sashimi platter, flower roll, and Royce roll. Everything tasted fresh and was so good. Our server was so sweet and very attentive. Was a beautiful day to sit in the patio too!"

"We have been to many sushi restaurants in Texas and Tennessee, and I have to say that the food here was actually pretty good. Not the best, but pretty good. I actually would’ve rated this restaurant with four stars, however the sushi chefs decided it would be a good idea to stand there and make fun of their clients. We sat at the bar and heard them cackling and motioning to various restaurant patrons. We would have loved to come back, but because of the experience with the sushi chefs we will not be returning."
