"AMAZING food. The owner is the chef and has been in the Austin area since the 80s. The food was beyond excellent with such a great variety of options. Service: - understandably slow as the restaurant was pretty much at capacity and they probably don’t have a large enough kitchen to pump out any meal within 12 min. But this isn’t fast food. This is top quality Indian food. COMPLETELY WORTH the wait. Atmosphere: Standard, quaint."

"I recently dined at this Punjabi restaurant in the Greater Austin area, and I must say the experience was delightful. The pakora was outstanding, crispy and full of flavor. The missi roti was a pleasant surprise, a must-try for its unique taste and texture. The curries were incredibly authentic, delivering a burst of traditional flavors. The only drawback was the waiting time, with a 45-minute wait for your food. Despite the wait, this place is a definite must-try for anyone craving authentic Punjabi cuisine. Update: After an initially positive experience, subsequent visits to this establishment proved disappointing. The meat dishes, especially the Mutton/Lamb in Rogan Josh and undercooked Chicken in curries, exhibited a concerning lack of consistency. The toughness of the mutton or goat in the Rogan Josh was notably challenging, further contributing to the overall dissatisfaction with the restaurant's meat dishes. Ordering posed a challenge due to communication barriers with waiters primarily speaking Punjabi or Hindi. Despite providing feedback, the chef appeared indifferent to concerns about inconsistent quality. This persistent issue eroded confidence in the overall dining experience, emphasizing the importance of caution and checking the meat before consumption."

"Went here for dinner. The place was almost packed. The food was great. We got lamb Rogan josh, karai chicken and paneer burji and the bread basket. Paneer burji was excellent and it was a little spicy. Lamb was cooked to perfection in the Rogan josh. Definitely recommend getting the bread basket as you get a assortment of Indian naan, kulcha , garlic naan and stuffed naan. The service was quick and this place has very friendly staff."

"We finally got to try Bayleaf Indian restaurant after seeing it for some time. We arrived right before 1pm (for a late lunch) and got seated right after entering the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is not too big and there are two windows allowing the kitchen view from the dining area. We ordered Chicken Biryani, Butter chicken, plain and chilli naan, for appetizer we got Mixed vegetables Pakora, and Madras soup (Creamy tomato soup). Appetizers arrived fairly fast, but the rest of the dishes took some time because I believe there was a catering order. After completing the catering order, all our dishes started to arrive. From Pakora to Chicken Biryani, all dishes served had great flavors; in my case, I found myself becoming very fond of the chilli naan... I never had the chilli naan before and it blew me away. Very glad to have visited the place, adding another great Indian restaurant to our list."

"We had been recommended this place. Environment was ok, you could see all the cooks in the back kitchen which was cool. Food was good and portions sizes adequate. Some plates the flavors were a little too bold or overpowering with one flavor, in comparison with other Indian restaurants we have gone to. Very reasonably priced. Online ordering easy to use. Will definitely come back."
