"This is literally a drive-thru kiosk; they have a bench or two in front, but it is a drive thru on both sides and is in the middle of a parking lot, kinda like those coffee kiosks. So, just understand that this is the kind of place where you take it home or eat in your car. Now, that doesn't mean it isn't good food. In fact, it's the opposite! Since the entire building is smaller than my own kitchen, there is no bulk frozen food or heaps of burgers under heal lamps--theres just no space for it. Meaning you get a fresh, juicy, piping hot burger and very fresh fries! It takes a little longer than, say, a McD drive thru (since they are cooking everything fresh), but by no means an unreasonable amount of time. The burgers are prepared just right; juicy on the inside and just a slight char on the edges with a dash of salt. I highly recommend; this is one of those hidden gems that is easily overlooked and far more amazing than you could ever expect."
"Fast food burger that is pretty tasty. Thin burger patties with condiments and veg, but it works well together. Good fries. Missed out on trying the Friday fried fish special. Drive thru and walk up only. Staff was pleasant."
"10/22/23 around 3:45pm: My husband and I decided to stop by while we were down the street. It had been years since we’ve eaten Short Stop (we don’t live near one). We stopped by (they weren’t busy thankfully), so we decided to eat our food outside instead of eating in our car. The young man who took our order was so polite. Love to see that, especially nowadays!!! They got our order out quickly. We were extremely satisfied with the presentation and the taste. Definitely stopping by again next time we are in the area. Please keep up the good work!"
"Been our favorite for years, I guess the Biden cloud has even hit them. Meat literally burnt to a crisp, fries no longer served hot and crispy. Drink 95 percent ice! I know it’s hard today to keep a good attitude , hot food hot cold food not! Please bring back your consistency!"
