About the Business

Crockett Tavern

Located at 320 Bonham in San Antonio, Texas, the Crockett Tavern is a true Texan experience. Built on the site of The Alamo's last stand, this restaurant offers a unique dining experience with a historical twist. The decor, made from old Bexar rock and repurposed oak and cedar beams, transports you back to the days of Texas' battle for independence.

The Crockett Tavern boasts an immersive Alamo experience, complete with a Chapel room, rock mausoleum, and Texan Western brass sculptures. Live entertainment is featured every weekend, adding to the lively atmosphere of this establishment.

With a newly refurbished bar and restaurant, the Crockett Tavern offers a wide selection of food and drinks, including their highly recommended ribs. Enjoy the outdoor patio or listen to country music while taking advantage of their Happy Hour specials.

"A really fun place to grab some good brisket and watch a live country singer. I’d really recommend this after a long work day. Take your out of town boss from the UK, and her husband, and your other colleague and order the most interesting drink on the menu…then watch them get super confused. Honestly very fun atmosphere. If I’m in town again, I’ll go back."

"Food was decent, but the mixed drink had much to be desired. Hubby ordered a barrel aged Manhattan that was truly subpar. The glass was half full and tasted like the bourbon was missing. Not good! The entertainment for the evening was terrible and so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation."

"Stumbled upon this place while downtown one day. Stopped in for a beer but ended up staying and ordering food. The atmosphere is very TEXAS!! If you love Texas and love Davey Crockett, you will definitely love this place! If you want to enjoy a casual lunch, a romantic dinner, or just a drink with family/friends. The atmosphere is great for that. The food was absolutely delicious and was decorated with the most adorable Texas flag and pickle spear! We will definitely return. On a side note, check out the lobby. It has a lot of history to look at! Pictured: Queso and chips The Beast burger- with bacon The Brisket chopped burger"

"Located in the Historic Crockett Hotel, the restaurant has a western bar feel. Awesomely decorated with cowboy hats and boots and historical artifacts. Good and drinks are excellent. Had the Deep Fried Eggplant, Chicken Fried Chicken. Live music was great! Not to loud where you couldn’t have a conversation. Highly recommended!"

"We visited Crockett Tavern for dinner on 6/29 in San Antonio, TX. This restaurant was right next door to our hotel and very convenient. We had a reservation and were easily able to accommodate our family group of 12. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not do anything about all the people standing around behind our table. The live music was awesome and many of us found ourselves singing along with the musician. Our server, Jessica was awesome and very friendly. She even helped us take photos of our group. The food and the service were awesome. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone that visits the San Antonio area!"
