"Overall we had a good experience and would recommend. We ordered the flautas and the taste was good but it was missing sauce and cheese. The guachinango had good flavor but the portion was very small. The guacamole was cold and so was the chicharrón. The chilaquiles were fantastic and would order again and same goes to the pellizcadas."

"This restaurant has it all! Intimate atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. We just celebrated our Grandmother & my daughter’s Birthdays. Everyone from the Staff to the Chef to the Owner, Ricardo were courteous and professional. They were ell attentive and treated us like royalty. The food was fresh & delicious! This was our first time patronizing this restaurant but it will not be our last! Muy Bien"

"This place was AMAZING! The food was incredible and the service was impecable. It is a small whole in the wall restaurant but totally worth it! I love fusion between Mexican and Cuban cultures/food. My favorite was the soup flight - a must try! 10/10 and completely recommend!"

"⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ I can’t believe I waited 6 months to try Paladar! Exquisite and one-of-kind cuisine in San Antonio. Firstly, I came in at 3 PM for a late lunch during the week and was kindly greeted by Chef and his team. The restaurant was empty (due to the off-peak time) but the hospitality is super on point. About 10 tables inside, so it’s relatively intimate and feels exclusive. I ordered the fish tacos and was pleasantly surprised as they were definitely more flavorful than any other fish I’ve had in the past. The combo of Mexican Cuban influences definitely shines through with simplicity, but an added dimension. Also, a Cuban coffee to finish off the meal was ideal. Also, I’d love the restaurant’s location tucked away on Avenue B in Alamo Heights, just minutes from The Pearl. Paladar — I’ll be back."

"Stopped in today and am really glad we did. This little semi hidden gem is extremely worth a visit in. Their menu includes Cuban, Mexican, and Cuban/Mexican fusion dishes. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. Don't let the exterior's underwhelming appearance fool you....the interior is very welcoming and cozy. And the food is SO tasty and unique. The portions initially appear scant but it is very filling and extremely delicious. Please be aware this place's menu is moderately priced but I guarantee it is well worth it. Parking shouldn't be an issue. They are also within walking distance to the Witte museum. We will definitely be returning."
