"Back in 1995, my cousin Jerry and myself used to sing there. It was a great atmosphere! We went by the names of Clayton and Bradshaw. The picture is dated September 24, 1995. This picture was taken on the south end of the building where a roll up door used to be."

"I feel like I stepped into a Time Machine when we walked in. Waitresses were super nice and greeted us as we walked in. They were quick to get up from their card game to take care of us. The decor in this place is ancient and not very fancy, but very rustic. The dollar bills stapled everywhere was a unique touch. My kids got to see their first jukebox. They had a few arcade games, but most of them didn’t work. First time I’ve ever seen Pool tables in a restaurant. The food was decent. I ordered the catfish, which was okay, but I wasn’t a fan of the sweet relish in the tartar sauce. My daughter had s burger. It was basic. Nothing to write home about. The bread pudding wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. The price is pretty decent as well. Don’t forget to go say high to the peacock and the chickens in the back."

"We regularly make the trek on our motorcycles to another place nearby but they had no cook! I recall a fellow spouting off about Repka's Grocery once upon a time. "Locals eat at Repka's!" he proclaimed. So, we called an audible and arrived at this little jewel of a place. Ahhh. This place immediately felt right. After my tugging on my cold beer for a couple swiggs, I zeroed in on the Chicken Fried Steak (NO MASHED POTATOES! ) but went with boiled red and a side of white gravy to create my own taters. Man, that was a really good CFS, Top 20 for sure. While waiting I had to try the Chicken / Sausage Gumbo and some Onion Rings. You can tell a lot about a place based on their gumbo and onion rings and they did not disappoint. Onion Rings also top 15. I will be back to this place regularly from now on. It's definitely worth the drive!"

"Good local joint with homemade, hand battered, southern comfort style food. The catfish fillets were thick and juicy. My wife said the chicken fried steak was amazing, nice thick meat and good tasty batter/crust. Beer was very cold and refreshing. No sweet tea unfortunately. The red potatoes were just ok, not much flavor. Large space for a big party or event in the back. Ceilings are low, lighting is strange, but you're guaranteed to walk away full and happy."

"My wife took me and her father out for Father's day lunch here. It was a 20 minute trip from Brookshire Texas and well worth the drive. My Father-in-law loves their crawfish and has been coming here for years. He ordered the platter and we ordered the old fashioned burger with regular and cajun fries. The food was delicious and the service was top notch. They are Johnny on the spot. As for the atmosphere, it has an old country feel which adds character and charm. Also, the ceiling in the main area was covered in dollar bills with all sorts of writing on them. Never seen such a place. Lastly, this place fills up with customers fast so come early. That's all I've got for now."
