"The first I was at MK Davis, a native San Antonio invited me for a beer. He mentioned how it’s mostly a place reserved just for the locals. I was blown away with their schooners! A huge glass full of cold, little flakes of ice on the top, beer of your preference. A perfect companion to the tasty home made, fried chicken. My choice of course, since their menu sports seafood, Tex-Mex and American. The atmosphere is like my friend said it, it’s his dive. Great place to have a beer and chicken with friends and family. As you walk up to the place, the smell of the tasty food hits you and you just can’t wait to get inside. Try the crispy dogs as appetizers. Magnificent."

"We came for lunch, wife and I had the chicken fried steak and son had a burger. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. I had onion rings and the wife had fries, both were fresh as well. We’ve been here many times and enjoy every visit."

"Came here on a Sunday after church cause I wanted chicken fried steak. The hostess was very accommodating to our needs and practically let us pick a table. Older restaurant with a decent-sized bar, with a crowd already. Didn't get appetizers but we ordered a chicken fried steak with fries and a fried chicken plate. The chicken fried steak was decent size and well breaded but it seemed as though it was not cooked all the way. The inside of the breading was still kind of wet and soggy. The meat was cooked but the inside of the breading was either undercooked or just plain soggy from the meat. The fried chicken was a nice size and fried perfectly, still juicy on the inside. Not sure I would return but who knows maybe we just ordered the wrong thing or the cook was off his game."

"Family time. Chicken Fried Steak, salad and mashed potatoes cream gravy and toast. . Spicy Chipotle Black Bean Burger with fries. As always Chicken Fried Steak is out of this world delicious!!! Comfort food. Burger was spicy, savory good. First time I had it. Lettuce, tomato, pickles. Mustard and mayo. Scrumptious. Asked to have fries heated. I like my food hot. For me, no biggie that I had to ask. Staff brought back my fries piping hot. Were so very good. Put ketchup and tabasco. Delicious!!! Overall, the entire staff was very efficient during the early dinner time. Very impressive."

"My parents used to come here for their date nights when they were youngins. My husband and I took them here and it was our first time. Loved the food and service. The dining room is a bit dark but it sets a comfortable atmosphere. Our waitress was extremely friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. All our meals tasted delicious. Will definitely be coming back again."
