"Great food, great service, and fast! I was hesitant about this place when it first opened. Tried it 2x and wasn't impressed. But they were new and just getting in the groove of things. Now, they are awesome!! The waitresses are nice and very efficient. The food comes out so fast, don't know how they do it. And of course the food Is really good. It's even better priced then alot of other restaurants we frequent."

"Some waitresses are good, some not. They mince some of the meats...to go far...which is unacceptable, in my opinion. Serve cold Tortillas.....forget to bring chips and salsa....some waitresses forget to come back and ask if we need anything else or for refills. Waitresses spend more time huddled, talking and laughing instead of being mindful of their tables."

"Been a few times here but last time I was there it was still humid and warm inside, service was a bit slow. I had waited for a table of three that wasn't cleaned even as they were wanting to seat others that just came in. Usually not too busy but on Sundays it's bad. So I waited at table for chips and salsa but never got them after 15 min. I had to leave and they were not apologetic at all. Why would I go back to that beats me and plus lately food is too greasy, way too much fat and oil. Had to return food last time ...beans not very flavorful either. No thanks"

"My wife and I decided to get something quick and cheap when we were driving around exploring and we saw El Alteño and pulled in. The restaurant was very clean and the booths are very comfortable. The service was great and helpful with ordering. I ordered the pozole and it was fantastic. I think y'all should go and check it out. Great prices also."

"My husband and I ate here on Saturday. We go to many Mexican food restaurants. El Alteno didn’t wow us it’s not the worst we’ve had either. My husband had a large menudo and I had the combination plate. My plate had an enchilada, chalupa, and crispy taco. The enchilada was pretty much just a red tortilla with cheese. I had the chalupa and crispy tacos with beans. The beans had a good flavor so did the rice. The salsas provided had very good flavor. They don’t sell alcohol here, the lady told us they were working on getting the permit. The service was good. Our server checked on is multiple times while we ate. The prices were good and our plates were well served. They sell flavored paletas/popsicles. We each had one and they were delicious. If you’re in the area this restaurant is worth a try."
