"Great food delivered to our table quickly. We ordered the peel and eat shrimp and the blackened catfish. The shrimp was enough to feed both my husband and my son. And, everything was very flavorful. The service was quick and so polite. Will definitely eat here again when in San Antonio."

"Let me start off by saying, I’m not sure if this is a restaurant or some upscale version of Long John Silver. If the latter, I give it more stars. But I think it’s more of a seafood restaurant, so it gets 3. I ordered fish and shrimp with coleslaw and fries. Upon first glance, I know this isn’t fresh shrimp. However, they were still good. The fish looked better than the shrimp but the batter had a hard time staying on. And the coleslaw was some of the most bland I’ve had, so that one I would not even recommend. I also ordered the key lime pie and it looked like it came straight out of a box. For being the “best seafood in San Antonio”, as it says on the building and on their website, I’d say y’all need to go eat at a real seafood restaurant. And whoever is doing this voting knows nothing about seafood. Sorry for the harsh words but it is what it is. I only give it 3 stars because I liked the atmosphere and the associates. Also, the sweet tea was great! I would come back just to try something else, though. Words of advice: work on the seasoning."

"Dined in on 2/8/2023. The customer service at Sea Island is definitely superb. Everyone was nice from the we entered the restaurant until we left. The food was absolutely delicious. My grilled shrimp was so good that I wanted to kiss the chef. Lol. I did not like the key lime pie. Eewww. The restaurant was clean but it was a little cold inside. It felt colder inside than outside. The cool temperature indoors made my food get cold fast. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and looking forward to dining here again."

"What's on the menu for lunch today? Poor man's lobster. Or maybe that's just a poor man wanting some lobster. I have heard they sell lobster sandwiches at McDonald's up north during season, but that probably doesn't ship very well. A lobster roll with claw meat and body shred is a frugal approach to the desired dish and definitely an available alternative locally. Cue the current Sea Island special. For just $19.99 a miniature split loaf of white bread brimming over with moist, celery fortified lobster meat will be delivered unto you. A bit of butter and a quick toasting allows the mini-loaf to stand up to its content of moist red and white crustacean bounty. But why stop there! Yes. The lobster roll at Sea Island is satisfying and richer than Croesus but, like most other lobster roll offerings it is in general a diminutive sandwich that is hardly enough to keep a hard working blue collar type fueled up for the afternoon's activities. The new lobster mac 'n cheese dish at $14.95 seemed to be the complementary answer we were looking for and we wanted to try it anyway. Macaroni bathed in velvety smooth cheese sauce with a bit of crunchy crust for a nice texture juxtaposition. Topped with bright red and white claw meat the dish's crowning glory was complete. And yes. It was pretty darn good as well. Having pegged our "wow that's rich" meter we were of the opinion that the lobster fare at Sea Island is a poor man's lobster delight, but will leave the question as to whether the toll for the fare would also be a poor man's delight relatively speaking."
