"This is such a fun stop while on the road. All the walls are covered in plates and there are so many interesting ones. We had breakfast. The service was good and fast. The food was stellar. We tried the chicken fried steak combo and malted waffle combo. Both dishes we’d have again. The waffle was crisp and the malted flavor added dimension. The chicken fried steak was tender and came with a tasty sausage gravy. Definitely a must try!"

"The food here is always fantastic and tonight Diane made our experience so special and fun. She is an excellent team member and I will be asking to sit in her section next time we visit."

"This place has a lot of Hill Country charm and attitude. The welcoming you get when you walk in. The service and the food. Our waitress Deb was a delight. I had grilled chicken breast, and the wife had Akaushi PoPo Cheese Steak and Onion Rings. The meals were delicious! Can't wait to go back and try the breakfast menu."

"Truly legit. I travel often for work, and PoPo has some of the best food around. I happily award them my coveted "Certified Mad Good" rating as their chicken is succulent and delicious with biscuits to boot. Dessert options are also on point."

"I went to lunch at Popo’s with a friend today and very disappointed in the food quality to say the least. Service was good so no reflection on the waitstaff. If you are looking for a country/southern style dining experience this is not it. Don’t claim to be a fresh scratch kitchen when it’s not that. If you have ever worked in the food industry you know what is fresh and what is not. Serving lunch size portions for dinner prices wasn’t a great start. Only a handful of people in the restaurant to begin with so it wasn’t a rush order situation. The chicken fried steak was paper thin with flavorless, colorless breading, mashed potatoes were instant at best, the gravy was leftover from breakfast with sausage in it not to mention the consistency of pudding and cold. I salted and peppered it to try to make it more palatable but it just wasn’t. This is the second time within a year we both tried this restaurant and only tried it this time because someone said it just must have been a one time thing that it was bad the first time. The manager did ask if I wanted something else but I declined and she removed it from our bill."
