"First time here and it's definitely a little bit off the main road and hidden pretty well actually but... Don't sleep on this place! This is the best chicken fried steak that I've found in a minute, so tender i can cut it with a fork. The potatoes are fresh and have chunks of skin in them and the breaded okra is absolutely next level. Even the green beans are fresh and crisp. Make the drive! Amazing food! And the service was just as good as the food. I can't wait to go back and try the catfish and I also heard their burgers are fantastic as well. (The price is also very reasonable for the food received, this dinner was $17)"

"If you want homestyle southern cooking this is the place to stop. The restaurant is nestled secretly away from the Boerne’s Main Street. Chicken fried steak is super crispy and meat is tender reminds me of my grandmother’s scratch kitchen recipes. The okra, mashed potatoes, green beans and all the extra fixings are delicious. The bran muffin is sweet and savory. All plates are generously served. If you’re not that hungry order the small plate. You will definitely not be disappointed. It will be my regular stop when I go back to Boerne."
"Stopped in for lunch after a day of fun and shopping You order at the counter and they'll call your name when your order is ready. The one thing that immediately caught my eye was the big menu. There is so much to choose from! We appreciated the healthy options. Carrots, salads, etc. Will definitely be back :)"
"I came here & tried catfish for the first time. I have not had any catfish since so it is still the best catfish I have ever had. Blueberry pie was phenomenal! The muffin serviced with the plate was so good we had to go grab another before leaving. The baked potato was also cooked to perfection. The portions are huge so be prepared to nap afterwards. I'll definitely be trying the burger next time. Atmosphere was comfortable & the staff were very friendly."
