"Final update from reviews below. By chance, I met Loyd today while returning items. Without going into specifics, I would say Loyd took care of me like I expected, but it very rarely happens anywhere. Meeting Loyd made me take another look at how harsh I sometimes can be reviewing. I saw a manager that without a doubt, mentored his employees and set an exceptional example. I believe he honestly cares that each customer experiences the service he provided to me today. His employees don't realize how fortunate they are to learn from Loyd . His example can be followed in every facet of life, from external to internal customers. If he could get his employees to follow his lead better, he would be the only hardware store open in a fifty mile radius. First review. I have had two bad experiences and one ok experience when calling about product availability. Nothing from those experiences screams that I need to step foot in this store. If your answer is for me to come by and look to see if it's what I need. It's probably not worth my time calling or going by. In addition to that, the person that initially answers the phone could be friendlier. Furthermore, if the person that initially answered calls can't answer a question, he or she should just ask what department the caller needs. I don't like explaining to someone in detail to just be passed on. Feedback is only valuable when someone cares. UPDATE I decided to stop by and see if I can get a few things I need today. That's a good thing since I can add photos. Lisa stepped in without being asked and helped me diligently to find several items around the store. I asked a gentleman who was not busy where the item was at, and he spouted off 4 different isles I should go look on. Well, thank you, Lisa. The guy should follow your leadership . I'm going to raise the star rating from 1 to 3 just because Lisa was so good."

"Son called about an item and the lady was rude and told him she didn't know if they had what he was looking for and said for him to come find it his self then hung up. Husband called about insulation and he had to repeat himself 4 times, was put on hold 3 times and a different person answered each time. No one knew what he was talking about and they hung up on him. He called back and asked the same question and was transferred to the warehouse and finally got a guy knew what he was doing."

"Every time I come in here no one offers to help me find anything. The last time I came I interrupted some workers chit chatting and asked for help. The guy wasn't really nice. Today, another customer helped me, but I decided just to leave. I'm headed to ACE...let's see how they act. ***Update- Well, ACE was better, but not great. I don't expect perfection, so I think I'll just keep going to ACE! Thanks! I decided to come in today 10-30-21 Thank you Lloyd for being so kind! ******UPDATE 6-25-22 That's it!!! Thank you Sheri for being so unfriendly. You sealed the deal for me...I will not come back here again. You treated me like I was stupid. Shame on you!!!"

"I purchased an angle grinder that burned up within 1/2 hour of use. Not their fault, and they let me exchange it for an upgrade without any hassle. The new grinder worked fine and let me finish my project. I appreciate the young lady that helped me with the exchange. She was very nice and professional."
