"Worked at this location for one and a half years after which I was laid/terminated on veterans day with absolutely no warning. The only justification was a lowered amount of daily shipments and literally cut my position with the option of rehiring later."

"I was lulled into a sense of false security. I had an account representative that acted like she was concerned with our customer satisfaction. However after about 5 years of doing business with them they "reclassed" a shipment. Our class of 92.5 was supposedly laser measured and given a class of 200 based on dimensions and weight. This resulted in the estimated cost of $249 jumping almost $500 to $728 which was triple my original quote. Believing that we could resolve this billing error, I faxed documentation including factory specification dimensions of the product being shipped, complete with weight and dimensions. I also faxed an invoice of the pallets that we purchase for shipping showing that our pallets are either 40" x 48" or 42" x 74". So the shipment would not be larger than the 42 x 74 pallet. I was told our shipment was laser measured. They claimed the dimensions were 53.25 x 80 x 33.75. So how does a shipment that size fit on either of the pallets I buy. The 33.75 was the height pallet included. That is the only part of the measurement they may have correct. I would have thought it would be closer to 36" based on the furnace is 30" by itself. Basically she emailed me a picture of our shipment on the back of their truck and said it was a long pallet and she believed the laser was correct. I asked to talk to a manager and she said she already did. They were sticking by their measurements. It feels like a slap in the face to get this kind of treatment from a company I trusted. I also feel like they are stealing $500 from me. They are basically calling me a liar even with the proof I presented to them. So if you think you are dealing with a company you can trust, you may want to think again. They have done nothing to resolve this issue or protect me from having this happen again. They gave me a sheet of paper that tells how to class freight by the formula for measuring cubic feet and weight density. As far as I'm concerned it was classed correctly when I did the bill of lading."
