Dominion Title

"Very poor experience. Dominion has no rules in place to protect the seller. I was told we would close remotely and be finished with the closing on an agreed date and the buyer didn’t return her paperwork in time for Dominion to wire the money to me. Apparently there are no penalties or any kind of accountability to prevent this from happening. I did not receive my closure (paperwork or funds) for several days. No one from Dominion bothered to reach out to me to tell me that there was a delay and that the closing would not be complete. At the end of the business day I emailed Megan - who was supposed to be helping us - and she offered no apology nor offer to make things right. She agreed that I had done nothing wrong and that this was unfair to me. When I complained, she offered me one of those, ‘I’m sorry that you’re mad’ kind of condescending, nasty, apathetic replies. She obviously did not care about my feelings, her failures, or my situation. She just wanted to coast into her weekend and get her commission. Ditto for President Rob Thomas. He chose to ignore my emails altogether. I waited over a week to write this review, with the hope that perhaps someone would reach out to me about this lack of customer service and yet no one at Dominion has. I couldn’t wait to be finished with selling my childhood home and finally get some closure from my father’s death and Megan’s callousness and laziness ruined this experience for me."

"I needed some mortgage documents notarized in a pinch. I trued UPS,Chase bank and the were unable to help me. I didn't know what to do. I Google searched and found this company. They got me in the office and notarized in less than 5 minutes! Thank you Megan and the nice lady that answered my call and questions! They originally came into my book of business from another agent who is a seasoned veteran. The staff is always very personable and attentive, and takes the time to answer both mine and my clients questions. I will never forget one deal where the seller (not my client) forgot to show up to closing. They were in a different state and the staff stayed an extra hour beyond the closing time to make sure the buyer was able to move into their new home. I would encourage any client or prospect considering title companies to give them a call. They truly are great people and care about the work they do."

"I called Robert Thomas about an issue with my warranty deed title. When I needed him to talk to my wife he behaved as a completely unprofessional. He told her he didn’t have time to explain how to read a title to her and when she asked him about talking to a manager, he replied “I’m the owner.” Then he hung up on her."

When my husband's name was written incorrectly on several documents, I called the Dominion Title LLC to understand where the error was and to learn how to correct it. While asking my questions, the owner (at least he said he was) abruptly stopped me to say that he did not have time to explain how titles work. If you are already an expert on the legal jargon regarding home ownership, you may not have a problem, but if you have any questions, Dominion Title LLC is not the company to help."
