"Got a vehicle a few months ago and the service has been hot and cold. During the buying process I felt pretty unwelcomed and not taken seriously until I found something that worked for me and began signing on the dotted line, then it felt like I was treated with slightly more care. The car allegedly went though a 100 point inspection but the day I drove off there was trash in various places inside the car, barely any wiper fluid and an especially curious black and blue sticky substance inside the middle console. I took the car back to the dealer to get another cleaning but didn't realize the wiper fluid issue until some time later (I imagine they would've filled it had anyone checked). I am now dealing with using the warranty I felt convinced to sign for, but when I called the dealership to figure out how to file a claim I was told "just give the repair shop your contract and they'll do the rest." This is not the case after I read the contract and called discount tire there are more steps to the warranty reimbursement process for a tire. I don't see why I'm treated as a burden when Nissan got their sale, I figured maybe I'd get some detailed help when I ask for it. If I didn't file the claim prior to repair it was possible that the claims company would deny me reimbursement. I also did not know that the company needs to negotiate with the shop on what they are willing to cover. Maybe commonplace information for some but I would hope while speaking with the finance department I could be spared one single minute of this information being passed on or even directed to the document that would outline the process for me of all the 14 documents I received. I also found out the warranty qualifies me for a second set of car keys upon purchase which was never received(My car remote battery has been low since the week I got the car). I'll end this to say while I love my car, I would hope that there would be more care and attention paid to those less in the know about some of these things, or some type of responsibility on upper management to keep an eye on training and delivery of messaging to clients and attention to detail all around. This is year one with the car and I hope as things come up I feel welcome and attended to in the future."
