The Goddard School of Avon

"I cannot say enough great things about Goddard in Avon! My son is currently in the turtles classroom and has been attending Goddard since January of 2023 and we absolutely love it! His teachers Ms. Kaitlyn and Ms. Amber are amazing! They are very kind, attentive and caring towards all the kiddos. Even the other teachers in different classrooms know my son by his first name. Not only are the teachers hands on with learning and teaching my son, but the owners, Robert and Eileen are hands on as well and on site every day. They are wonderful at leading the school and take not only my son’s welfare seriously but the welfare of every child that attends Goddard. I love that the school has different learning curriculums each day for the kiddos. My son has tremendously improved in his learning with not only all things preschool, but specifically in his communication and speech/language skills. When he started at Goddard in January of last year, my son was only speaking a couple words at a time and had a vocabulary of around 50 words. He is now speaking in sentences and his vocabulary is well over 200 words! Goddard also offers different activities at the school that parents have the choice to enroll their kids in such as Crouching Tigers martial arts and Soccer Shots just to name a couple. My son has enjoyed his Crouching Tigers class since May of last year! He has learned many different martial arts moves and can also count to 10 in Japanese! I have been extremely happy with our experience at Goddard in Avon and could not imagine my son going to school anywhere else. He is so excited each morning to go to school and see his friends and teachers! I know that when I drop my son off at school he will be safe and well-cared for. Those are the most important things to me as a parent and I wouldn’t have him anywhere else. If you are in need of childcare and have not checked out this awesome school, I would definitely do so now!"

"My daughter has THRIVED at Goddard! The staff and teachers are amazing and so helpful. I love that Goddard has companies come in to show and educate about animals, do fun things like getting snow cones or ice cream, and have activities the kids can be signed up for like soccer! My daughter truly loves going to school at Goddard and our entire household is going to miss them when she ages out for Kindergarten."

"Did not feel comfortable as a minority father with my child at this day care. The center was not diverse or welcoming staff members seemed young and unprofessional always new faces who seemed unhappy to be at work. I would not recommend this daycare if you want a positive healthy learning environment for your kid."

"My granddaughter attended this day care. Staff was unprofessional and did not have qualifications you would want for your family. always a different teacher. Teachers were never smiling or happy to see the kids besides one teacher who was great miss Kelsey but unfortunately she left as well. Seems like staff is not happy that’s why they quit not sure what exact reason but it affected my granddaughter constant change and staff was not friendly to parents sometimes you come in and no one says hi. Glad we got her out of there"

"This is a Clean daycare with great summer activities. Outside of the cleanliness and activities It is my opinion this was not a stable healthy environment for the growth and development for my child. The turnover is ridiculously high which lead to an unstable learning environment for my daughter. We were there for 2 1/2 years and the center went through 4 different directors and even more teachers during that time frame. My child was left unattended in the classroom while her classmates were on the playground when she was two. Staff and enrollment is not diverse in my opinion compared to other day cares in the area. My child was in pre-k and at the time the teacher in the classroom did not have a CDA or even an associates degree. The glass door reviews are alarming. I wish I would have looked at those before enrolling my daughter. My daughter was discharged from the school for throwing a chair that hit another student after nap time problems she is at a new center having absolutely no nap time strugggles and exhibiting none of the issues from the Goddard School. Several students from the Goddard school are at the new center who experienced displeasure with the turnover and constant change and said that they also were concerned about their child behavior until they were removed from the learning environment and are doing much better as well."
