"Amanda that makes appointments for Dr Menefee is EXTREMELY rude and does NOT care who you are, what your concern is, or the fact that you are FREAKING out thinking you have cancer. We had 2 terrible phone conversations in which she spoke to me like I was of less than zero importance to her. She all but laughed and said “We are a SPECIALIST and he will see you in February”……. Ummm NO he won’t!!! February will not work and thank God there are plenty of other SPECIALISTS!"
"Dr. Menefee is nice enough, however, dealing with his staff and nurse, Lynn, is a nightmare! I have tried for a week to get a PA (prior approval) that is required by insurance to get a prescription that I need. Without this PA, the prescription will cost $1000 for a month supply. The insurance company & the pharmacy have faxed over the form numerous times. They deny they ever got one. I have given them the direct 1-800 number several times to call, which they will not call. I have to have this medication by tomorrow, so again I called to try to get this taken care of. I told Lynn that the insurance company said to just call the 800 number to give the PA and say it's a priority, so I can pick it up tonight, but she refuses to call. She told me they are short staffed and she doesn't have the time. She said I can drive there (which is an hour drive for me) to pick up some free samples. So, I can drive 2 hours, but she can't pick up the phone and make a call and do her job! I will definitely be finding another doctor!"
