Broad Ripple Trails

"I will start this review by saying office staff was always kind and AMAZING while we lived there. Unfortunately; this place almost put me in a mental hospital (seriously). When my boyfriend and I lived here about 2 years ago, we noticed it smelled like gas and the stove was always warm. We were told by maintenance that it was “normal”. I should have known that’s not the case: over the year of us living there, my boyfriend and my mental health deteriorated extremely. I have never had the type of depression I had when living here. After moving out, our mental health greatly improved. Do not let them convince you that “gas smell” is normal, it can kill you slowly. I also witnessed multiple people pulling guns, (one on my downstairs neighbors dog) and another shot his gun in the air off his porch. There was a police standoff due to a hostage in the building next to us. Gun shots every single night and strangers poking at our windows. I’ve never experienced anything like it."

"I came here all the way from Denver, Colorado. Broad Ripple Trails made it feel like home again!! From beginning to end, it has been so smooth, welcoming, and refreshing. I have to thank Baile!!! Honestly a Rockstar! She made this so easy for me! I really didn't have to do a single thing (outside of the norm) besides look at the apartment. Regina was so welcoming every time I called before I moved to Indiana. I also have full confidence in the management team when it comes to maintenance. Ben, Maintenance Manager, personally introduced himself and I feel very safe with him walking into my apartment when I am not there(with my permission). I recommend this Apartment Complex to anyone! They were there for me when others we're not!!! Thank you guys!"

"My wife and I lived at Broad Ripple Trails for nearly 2 years. Staff was always polite when we interacted with them and quick to communicate when issues arose. Maintenance was also great and quick to action when an emergency popped up. The 2 bedroom apartment was very spacious for the price and the area. We loved the location as it is close to so many things."

"Maintenance was always very fast and did the best they could. However, an issue such as an irreparable AC unit is beyond their capacity and you can expect the folks in the leasing office to do no advocating for you. If you are eventually able to get ahold of the property manager (Gabe) you can expect denial, gaslighting, stall tactics, and if you're lucky a window unit for a 2 bedroom apt.. For the money, you're much better across the street at Pangea. Also BRTrails apparently uses what I can only imagine was wall primer/paint on their tubs (see photo)."

"I am surprised to read some of the other reviews because my husband and I have had such a great experience at Broad Ripple Trails. The complex is in a great area--close enough to Broad Ripple Avenue to really appreciate the district, but enough on the edge that you don't have to pay the extra rent just to say you live in Broad Ripple. The buildings were built in the '70s, so they're not bursting with modern amenities, but our townhouse is in good condition and has everything we need--spacious living areas, dependable appliances, washer/dryer hookups, a private fenced patio for our dog, etc. Maintenance comes around a couple times a year to make sure everything is in working order. I often wish we had better storage space, but again, the buildings were built in the '70s, and I'm not going to blame the current owners for that. Broad Ripple Trails is the only complex in the area with a non-discriminatory pet policy, which is what initially drew us here. All others that have similar policies are much further away from downtown and are almost twice as expensive. Some previous reviews have alluded to some irresponsible dog owners, but I'm happy to report that management seems to be cracking down on them. We've had a couple of issues with neighbors who were irresponsible with their dogs, but both times Gabriel was very much on top of the situation and all team members we spoke to were friendly and easy to work with. In the two years we have lived here, I have frequently recommended Broad Ripple Trails to friends. It's a clean and safe place to live, and definitely a large dog owner's haven!"
