I liked the pool, the cafe, the places to walk, not to mention there's a near by public track where I exercised often, the very large bathrooms were my favorite, I experienced my first sauna here, it was a good experience too. It's a good place to live if you don't mind having a roommate, it's very affordable. Thanks for allowing me to be a resident here. "I’ll put in simply: living here is not worth the money. It’s not a horrible place to live, but it has all the same problems of your typical apartment complex, at a much higher price point. For $690 a month, you get a 10’ x 10’ room with scuffed concrete floors, dorm furniture, and an A/C/heat unit that is always breaking. The “cool, co-working, young professional” image they try to market for this place is untrue; don’t let them fool you. It’s mostly college students and transient adults who only come out of their rooms to microwave something and dart back. The apartment’s amenities are nice, but have their downsides. The yoga room floods, half of the exercise machines in the gym are always broken, the pool was never cleaned often enough, the “guest suite” costs over $130 a night, and the pantry lockers often had bugs. The amenities that are good are bike storage (plenty, safe), laundry (washers & dryers on every floor), parking (free for residents & guests, always enough room), and the movie theater. The communal kitchens and bathrooms can get gross at times, but a cleaning service always comes and cleans them eventually, which is nice. The Mansion's grounds are nice, but I wouldn't walk alone outside the grounds at night. The area is only about a 10 minute bike from White River State Park, which is nice, but there's no bike paths until you reach the park. It is very clear that management cares more about this place as an event venue than as a place where people are living. (Surprise! The pool is closed and the lobby is trashed because there was a wedding in your backyard.) Maintenance is hit or miss as well. Sometimes I would request repairs and they would happen in a day, sometimes they would never address them at all and never tell me why. One time I called the Emergency Maintenance phone line because a resident set off the fire alarm, and they didn't pick up and never called me back. It took Management over 12 hours to shut the alarm off. Residents slept outside it was so loud. They did apologize with a letter and a $50 credit towards rent, but the whole event was unsettling. How would you feel if you called emergency line and got voicemail? And if your management let your space be unlivable for 12 hours? But it is simply not worth the money. For a small room, sub-par amenities, careless management, and a dorm-like environment, you could just go live in any of the other apartment complexes that are more reasonably priced."
