"Moving out. Rent was hiked up over $250 more than current lease. Had water damage in my kitchen, which has still not been completely fixed. Storage unit, I wouldn't put my outdoor things in it. Feces and mold in storage units. no on-site manager or maintenance. Have to wait hours if not days for response from office."

"TLDR: Don't rent here. This place in managed by PMI Midwest. They suck up to investors, but are terrible to tenants. The building common areas smell, and have both mold and fleas. Ants and cockroaches infest the building walls and air vent systems. They were dishonest about doing repairs even before I moved in. When I moved in, both my doors that lead outside were broken and didn't lock. They never fixed them, and I ended up having to do it myself. They ignore obvious signs of bad wiring and water damage, which is probably why bulbs kept blowing in my kitchen and the ceiling fell in on me. It's often hard to get a hold of people at the office, and sometimes the office itself is empty and locked when it should be open. They often ignore repair requests. THE CEILING FELL ON MY HEAD A short memoir of my experiences here By me I literally had part of the ceiling fall on my head, due to them not repairing water damage in the ceiling. They spray paint over damaged ceiling material from leaks, instead of fixing it, resulting in mold, pests, and (obviously) parts of the ceiling falling in. Failed to respond to requests to fix my broken door, which didn't lock. Didn't fix repairs that were supposed to be done before I moved in. Didn't clean before I moved in, even though they delayed my move in for cleaning and repairs. There was broken glass, cig butts, and pine needles everywhere. Jennifer insisted no one there smoked, but there was a pot smell that lasted for weeks after I moved in, which gave me awful allergy issues. They didn't respond when ants started coming out of a hole in my ceiling. They didn't respond to calls, messages on their own tenant portal that they insist people use, or physical letters. Whenever I did manage to talk to someone, I was always told someone would be there "later that day", which didn't happen, even when I called to let them know no one showed up. The have only responded twice to me reporting issues my entire time here. Once, when there was water leaking out of a ceiling light (which they just spray painted over and swapped the bulb on), and once when I physically went down to the office after the ceiling fell in (and that may only be because I was luck enough that the repair guy was there at the time). While there, I mentioned that I wanted to move out and wanted to be let out of my lease. Jennifer, the person at the office, insisted that I would have to pay three month rent and lose my deposit, and insisted that pest problems like ants coming out of my ceiling were "tenant responsibility". How I am supposed to prevent ants from living in my ceiling, I will never know, especially considering that they were likely from another apartment. I was told the leasing manager would call me that day about moving. They never did (surpriiiise). Jennifer complained that I had to give them "time to respond to repair issues", which she, at that very moment, had a message on her compute screen from a month prior, that said the doors still. Weren't. Fixed. Only now that I've told them I intend to move, do they seem remotely interested in making repairs. I've seen ants, roaches, and fleas here. I actually tend to avoid using the main entrance, due to the presence of fleas in the hallways. My neighbors have also reported pest issues and poor response to repair requests. I'm disgusted that not only would this place ignore reports of health and safety issues, they would charge someone extra when they try to move out due to those ongoing health and safety issues. Pros: easy parking, and some covered spaces. Washing machines usually work, but steal money. Cons: dishonest and negligent landlords. They suck up to investors and walk all over tenants."
"RENTER BEWARE: Don't worry about your deposit refund. You will never receive it back. No matter how clean the apartment is. They will assign excuse to validate keeping it. Someone broke in the storage and not only stole the tenant property. Everyone was exposed because this negligent office also stored copies of every tenants key, putting everyone's safety at risk for unlawful entry. There is NO office on site. The carpet can be severely stained with cigarette burns and will not prompt new carpet. One long term tenant has a 10 year yellow shag carpet they only cleaned it. Still looks very much like a health hazard! You are bound to see much dirt from the last few tenants in the drawers, along the panel on the floor! Spots on the wall where maintenance did not fully paint the entire apartment. No garbage disposal in certain apartments. If you call for a few things to be repaired they will randomly choose what they would like to fix! This area is filled with neighbors that prostitute and sell drugs. Random people will knock on your door, 2am attempting to find the dope dealer in the building. Marijuana can be smelled in the hallway, you may see a few deals being made. Every hotter season you get stink bugs infested throughout the apartment. They will stalk you to write a review before you can figure out what's really going on. The contract is not similar to regular renting they expect you to clean the carpet upon leaving and you the renter are responsible for certain repairs like you are renting a house."
