"Mobile County Public School System is one of the Worst school Systems. If a small percentage of the students are doing well then they are good with that! I never seen a group of educators so lazy about striving for more success from all students and help those students who are struggling! The communication is the worst. At our current School O’Rourke (so overrated), when wanting to communication the teachers say go to schoology…”What” … I hate this school system. How is that communication. And then they have the nerve to create this mandate for 3rd grade Reading! If you don’t pass reading then the students will be held back! Well …*** what are you doing to prepare the students to succeed. Your teachers should be held accountable for the students failure. Reach out to parents to inform them where their student need help. You place them on a computer to complete a program! The teachers should be held accountable! There need to be better communicate with the parents. It’s horrible how education is so watered down! If you are looking to move to this area, do your research! Look into Daphne Al! Look into private schools. Because you will be very disappointed with Mobile County Public Schools! They are just working and have become Accustom to performing their jobs. And the … teachers and staff are The Messiest and Most gossipers among the nation. Instead of spending your time talking about students and families…. Get them involved! This system went down when they remove God and Prayer from the schools! From that point the care about education and the children performance has decreased! There is more bullying, teachers, staff and administrators are disrespectful, children so disrespectful, parents even more disrespectful. The education is not good. Teachers run through lessons. When State test are given and the entire class fail . Listen…that’s a reflection on you… then you retest… 25 percent do better now it’s time to move on! The other 75 percent are on their own! Set up for failure. Unbelievable! It’s full of chaos. But God!! I’m praying for the school system! It’s sad!"

"if I could give no stars I would. I have an 8th grader at Causey and just found out at the beginning of this year, he is only on a 3rd grade level in most subjects. His report card and teacher conferences say differently. They have failed my child and I will not stop until the people responsible for pushing my child thru the system are punished. No child should ever be left behind this badly."

"My family just moved to Mobile from out of state. We have been here for a week, i tried to enroll my son into school only to be rejected. I was treated horribly from the time i walked into this building. I smiled, asked how they were doing and explained what my visit was for. Immediately i am questioned as to why i am living with family (we are house hunting) then i am asked why i do not have my sons ssn memorized, next i am told that i mist be interviewed by a social worker. I am completley unsure as to what just happened and asked why a social worker was needed. Well its because i must be a horrible person for not owning my own home and then i am asked why i am enrolling my son into school....ummm last i checked its the law. Now these people were too busy chatting with customer service about a gym membership and talkimg about me infront of me to even catch that i just moved here. So they threw a homeschooling form at me and said he couldnt go to their schools. Well ok sweetie and bless your heart. I will NEVER deal with them again! If i need to homeschool then so be it but that hatefulness was uncalled for."
