"In a good location for prometric center. But the place was as clean as the horrible maintenance would allow. Looks like it's 70s motel once you step in your room. Shower pressure was on silent and the shower how would only hit like a 5" area on its widest. Door to my room wouldnt seal so obv that made things loud. Just look elsewhere if the price is $85+ pre tax. Paid mid/upper 90 bucks. Itd be fair if they dropped the price to say 75. Staff were pleasant welcoming."
"My husband and I used this hotel for 4 months as we had a house fire… the employees and management went out of their way for us… always friendly and very accommodating to all our needs. It made the situation for us so much easier to work through.The breakfasts were very good and I felt so much better about my husband having a hot meal before heading out to work. We truly appreciate Jenny (manager) and her staff… they did a great job in making us feel welcome and getting us whatever was needed…towels, shampoo, soap etc. we would use this hotel again. Thank you."
"Their sister property Fairfield Inn, illegally charged my card over $800 the front desk supervisor or the Gm used and old credit card authorization number to illegally charge my card. I have the proof with the exact same authorization numbers on 2 different receipts a week apart. Then they went into there system and completely deleted the reservation that I was in. Thinking I wouldn't have proof however they forgot the receipt comes to my email. If they don't reverse those illegal charges. I will come back to this review and put their names on here. Call their corporate Ambridge Hospitality and get an attorney. So I'm giving them until Monday otherwise I am moving forward with fraud complaint."

"Sure wish I’d have checked reviews prior to booking… Friendly service at the counter, however this hotel is extremely dated. Very disappointed with room condition, with gross carpet, sagging beds, sticky floors, poor cooling system and really smelly. Not the Hilton quality I’ve come to expect. Highly recommend choosing the Merrillville Home2 over this Hampton Inn."
