"She is absolutely heaven sent! She kept urging me to get a mammagram and I was reluctant because I had no insurance. I went anyway just to appease her. They found breast cancer and it had spread to my lymph nodes. She was also concerned about a nodule on my thyroid. The biopsy said cancer but it wasnt when it was removed! God healed me. A few weeks after the treatment and surgeries for breast cancer they found out that I had stage 4 liver and colon cancer. Im now on observation for it all! So thankful for her pushing for the mammogram or I might not be here today!"

"Every time I went in I was constantly asked whether or not I was pregnant that was extremely frustrating! I had to miss one of my appointments due to an emergency and when I called to reschedule they made it out where I hadn’t even attended my first appointment that confirmed my pregnancy. THE LARGEST RED FLAG was I just got diagnosed with covid and they said if I refused to get a covid transfusion they would discontinue seeing me and urged me to get the vaccine. They were extremely critical I hadn’t got a vaccine but neither me or my boyfriend were comfortable with me getting it while pregnant. I am now in the process of switching doctor. I am very disappointed with this doctor’s professionalism in refusing care if I refused a medical procedure."

"We had the pleasure of having Dr. Hunt deliver our son over the weekend. We are very pleased, she was very in tune with the entire situation, and is a natural! My wife and I are extremely happy and grateful. Thanks Dr Hunt!"

"Multiple issues with c section. During surgery, my bladder was hit causing permanent bladder injury. Vacuum and forceps were unnecessarily used to remove my son. While still in severe pain 2 months after surgery, I went back to the office worried as I had 2 previous c-sections to compare this too and the pain and bleeding that was still occurring wasn’t normal. While there, Penny gave me a forceful internal exam and told me that the pain I was feeling wasn’t pain, but was pressure (as I’m in tears crying). Come to find out, I had a post surgical infection due to a piece of tissue being left where it shouldn’t have been and needed immediate antibiotics. I was told by Dr Hunt that she had once had this happen once or twice in the time she’s been delivery babies but I truly find that hard to believe. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere and do NOT see Penny!"

"Find another Dr. if you plan for natural delivery. We started seeing Dr. Hunt and things went well until discussion began about our desire to have a natural birth using the Bradley Method. In the end, we felt it was necessary to change Dr.’s very late in the pregnancy because we were not at all on the same page. We ended up with a fabulous Dr. who was much more experienced with natural deliveries. My wife did give birth naturally without any drugs whatsoever and was amazing! Bottom line is there are other Dr.’s in the area who are much happier to assist with and promote natural birth. Otherwise if you are not seeking a natural child birth you may find Dr. Hunt to be a good fit. The staff there is quite good and always treated us well. More background: We were up front early on about wanting to go natural, but were told she only had one patient successfully go natural and it was not a first-time mother unlike my wife. She mentioned there would be a lot of people coming in the delivery room because of the commotion and probable screaming. My wife initially wanted to prove her wrong in a good way simply because of the challenge, but eventually the relationship became too strained when actual delivery procedures were discussed. The items that became contentious were 1) cervical exams, 2) delayed cord clamping and 3) use of Pitocin. Note: we were fine with any emergency procedures if there was a clear need. Regarding cervical exams Dr. Hunt was quite unhappy with my wife’s desire not to have them. Not only are they painful but they bring a risk of PROM (premature rupture of membranes) and do not provide enough reliable information given the risks. Check it out for yourself. Dr. Hunt was visibly angry and became quite unprofessional in demeanor when my wife respectfully declined the exam. I was there and was shocked at her loss of composure. Concerning delayed cord clamping, this was the issue where I knew for sure we needed to find another OB. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (58,000 obstetrician-gynecologists and women's health care professionals) supports the position that delayed cord clamping is beneficial for both term and preterm infants. It’s easy to find this study on the ACOG website. They state, “In term infants, delayed umbilical cord clamping increases hemoglobin levels at birth and improves iron stores in the first several months of life, which may have a favorable effect on developmental outcomes.” Given this information we were quite shocked when Dr. Hunt objected saying it provided no benefits. So not only were we having difficulty relationally, now it was clear she is out of step with some of the latest important studies in this field. Dr. Hunt has been practicing for many years and has mounds of hands on experience with child birth. Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean she stays abreast of important new findings in this field."
