"Everytime I call the office they refuse to see you. When your child is running 102 temp and you call office to get an appointment. The office staff's response is, we don't have any appointments for children today, take them to the ER or an urgent care. I'm sorry but what is the point of having a dr if they won't see you."

"Dr. Maples he's been my family doctor for going on 24 years she delivered my last 3 children and was their doctor as well. Shes a obgyn she's a pediatrician and just a over all family doctor. She has the sweetest personality and doesn't mind explaining things so that you can understand . The only downside is because she is so great sometimes it can be hard to get in with her. But that's about all I can say negative at all because she's wonderful with my kids and so knowledgeableas well. If you're looking for a new family doctor or a ob she's definitely the way to go."

"My family moved to the area early last year and after checking around, Dr.Maples seemed like a good fit for my family. Getting in to see her after reviewing our info was very quick and I absolutely loved her!! So down to earth, explains things so well and just overall great bedside manner. I also was able to get my boys in as well to be their doctor and have seen 2 of her Nurse Practitioners, and they were so great as well. It does seem like the office stays very busy but I can understand why. Her nursing staff was super friendly and helpful with anything we asked and we’re great with my younger boys after shots. Overall fantastic doctor and staff"

"Years ago (10+) I was admitted into Athens Hospital for vomiting and extreme diarrhea that was clear and bloody. Dr. Maples was assigned to me as my doctor. I don't know 100% this is the same Dr. Maples from then, but it's the only Dr. Maples I could find in Athens with that name so I'm pretty sure this is her. Anyway, she came in and claimed I was faking my illness to get attention from my family and that I wanted them to see me sick in a hospital bed. I never even had my family visit and I most definitely wasn't faking any illness since I don't know how one could even fake such symptoms as what I had. She discharged me. Two days later, I had to go back. Luckily a new doctor just started working at the hospital who did thorough tests which found a rare bacterial infection that could've killed me. He was appalled at why I "took so long to get treatment" with which I explained to him I was there 2 days previously and a Dr claimed I was faking my illness. I ended up on strong IV antibiotics and in the hospital for 10 days!! That whole experience traumatized me to the extent that any time I even have a medical problem I'm afraid I'll not be taken seriously or they'll think I'm faking. Luckily nothing like that has ever happened since, but this one horrible experience has seriously stuck with me all these years. I just was thinking about it tonight and decided I'd try to find this doctor and confront her years later to tell her she nearly killed me! But instead I just will leave this review. I usually forget names, but this woman that traumatized me, I'll never forget her name. She shouldn't even be called a doctor."

"My daughter and I were patients of hers for many years until she stopped accepting patients with Medicaid for gynecological issues and was barely available for appointments for my doctor. It's extremely hard to get an appointment with her and not the CRNP, and when you have anything that needs to be called in like referrals, it takes them a good while to get it done. When you can get an appointment with her, though, her mannerism is friendly and professional. She's very attentive to your needs and concerns in the office and makes you feel at ease when she's examining you."
