"Don't take your car there Manager tries to get you to get work that you don't need overpriced tried to say I needed brakes which I had done two months earlier. They are scam artist. Don't do it."

"BEWARE! CAUTION! Warning! I came here January 2024 because my car did not pass the emission test. When I looked up the codes to see why my car didn't pass the emission test, it was because of my purge valve. I decided to come to this Car-X Tire & Auto because I paid to have them fix that same issue in March 2023 and they charged me $294.83. I dropped off my car and told them I didn’t pass the emission test. When they called me back after looking at it, they told me it was my purge valve that needed to be replaced and quoted $896. When I told him that they replaced it last year, he said there are two purge valves and they only replaced one. He said he’ll check the warranty on the one they replaced but for the other one they’ll still charge me. Their updated price was $716.08. To make a long story short, I came back to pick up my car. They said they didn’t have the part and they would call me back. They still haven’t. I suspect it’s because they know I caught them trying to cheat me. I went to another mechanic, and they charged me $161.56 for the purge valve. The mechanic that fixed the issue told me that whoever fixed it before used an aftermarket valve and they had to replace it with an OEM valve (original equipment manufacturer). They also told me that there was a missing bolt at the valve and the coolant bracket was missing. I knew something was off when while I was waiting in line I observed them being unwilling to put air in the tire of an elderly lady who asked them to. They told her to go somewhere else. I do not recommend this place."

"I came in to get a head light replaced and asked them to check my tire as I had been putting air in my tire frequently. There was a nail in a spot the would prevent them from plugging. I was told by the Manager (Vernell) that I had coverage on that tire and could get a new tire at a discounted rate. I had forgotten that I purchased the tire at this location. I purchased the tire back in November of 2022. I appreciate the wonderful customer service. When you purchase new tires, please get the tire insurance. You may not think it’s important, but it is and it’s worth it. I’m thankful that I was reminded of this because I certainly didn’t have new tire money in my budget."

"Had a great experience at the Homewood Car-X! They got me in quick for an oil change. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I had a check engine light on and they looked into and got it to turn off. Highly recommend a company with employees that go above and beyond to give good service! I will certainly be back for any other car needs - 100% better at getting the job done than the dealership I bought my car from!"
