"Very disappointed with services NOT rendered. Refused to treat me because I'm clostrophobic And refused to put me to sleep or medicate me for me to get through it. These doctors at Gulf do not care about the patient unless they are a certain race in my opinion. Will never give them anymore money."

"I have a chronic pain disorder due to to a car accident injury. It is not repairable, but is treatable. I was referred to Dr. Rush for trigger point injections. (I had previously been living up north, and was receiving this treatment every 5-6 months for several years.) Dr. Rush did the injections. I was treated by him at three or four appointments - 1 about every 6 months. On two occasions he ran out of injection medicine and was unable to complete all of the trigger points. At my last appointment he said, “Call us when you need us.” (about every six months.) I called when it was time for my next appointment and was told,” He referred you to - a different doctor- trigger points are not his specialty.” No one had said a word about this to me. This call to make my next appointment about 6 months later was the first I’d heard of it! I explained that to them, and requested that he please do the injections this time as I’d had no previous mention, no phone call, nothing regarding any changes and it was time for the injections. If he wanted me to see someone else for this I would, but I at least needed time to get a referral and set that up before the injections were due again. The office called me back and told me he would not do the injections. They refused my request to speak with him about it. I said I would come in and talk with him but that I really needed the injections this time. (*Too long between injections causes worsening of the muscle spasms and tightening and “ropiness” take longer to release.) The caller, Haley, (office personnel? nurse?) refused any reasonable solution and then hung up on me. I’m now left without the needed treatment, needing to obtain a new referral from my GP to this other doctor he recommended, having to make a consultation appointment with them, then a second appointment for treatment. Meanwhile I’m in pain. Initially, I gave him a good review- he’d seemed to be a caring doctor. I’ve deleted that review now. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend someone who would treat a patient that way."

"I have been in pain management since 2000. Since then, I had been treated by two different pain management doctors in two separate clinics. Out of all of the pain management treatment I've received, Dr. Rush has provided the best. He has been the most knowledgeable. I'll continue seeing Dr. Rush as long as he'll have me in his clinic."

"Best pain management doctor. Great bedside manners, attentive to the patient complaints and works out effective pain management plan. Had an epidural done by him. I take very little pain meds for now. So glad he's my doctor."
