"I have been calling for two days! The first time I called someone answered and said I have to get them my medrecs to review before an appointment is made from the hospital... did that and no call!! I have been calling for days now and no answer! I work in a large doctors office and there is no reason not to have phones ever answered and no voicemail to leave a message!! I can’t imagine people going here!!! It’s terrible!!"

"Dr. Minney is very cordial and compassionate. I was a patient about 20 years ago of Dr. McDuff, who is also an, excellent doctor, but not taking new patients. The receptionist area and/or office manager needs a course in hospitality, especially since Fairhope is rated in Southern Living magazine so highly. My first visit was great, however, my visit yesterday was difficult to put it lightly. To add to my frustration I had received a statement a few days prior in which I was billed for out-of-network charges. After calling Blue Advantage, my first visit had been scheduled before Dr. Minney's data and credentials were entered. My appointment should have been rescheduled a week later, but instead, I was billed for their ineptness in correcting the issue. I was unsure if I should call and cancel my appointment. My annual wellness visit had been schedules by Blue Advantage, so I reluctantly decided to go. Big mistake, their office didn't even show my appointment, only a 3 month followup. I was told by a very curt receptionist that there was not enough time for my annual Medicare visit, that it would have to be rescheduled, but they could see me for the 3 month visit. Well, I had been given a form to complete and after taking it back to the window, I stood waiting to return it, while the absorbed, bland receptionist was taking care of another patient. She finally acknowledged I was standing there and stated she would come get the form. Well, I was called again to return to the desk and then told the above, that I was a few minutes late, so would have to reschedule the Wellness visit. My 10 minute lateness was due in part to their location, currently undergoing major road construction. I had called ahead enroute, but was on hold for 10 minutes. Had their office had an atmosphere more conducive to senior citizens and the aforementioned billing issue, I might have stayed for my visit. I abruptly left, upset and tearful. Too bad their office lacks Southern hospitality"
