Sangrita Grill + Cantina

"My food was really not good. I went there because of finding good reviews of the place. I ordered three tacos. The beef one was so greasy that it dripped off my plate, got all over my fingers, and dripped all over my plate. Then I went to the steak one. I couldn’t finish it. The steak tasted really stale. Hoping the pork would be great, I nearly choked on the dryness of the pork. Needless to say, it was a disappointing lunch and I will never go there again."

"This was by far the best Mexican cuisine I have ever had! The chips were hot, extremely crispy and there was something I can only describe as "extra" about them. The finish taste was like they are made of fresh sweet corn not just corn meal. The salsa was wonderful! Every ingredient tasted fresh from the garden. It had a little bite to it but I wouldn't call it spicy. I chose the short rib tostada with the jalapeno cheddar polenta side dish. It was phenomenal! All of it! There was a tostada in the bottom with a layer of black beans. This was topped with another tostada with a thick layer of fresh guacamole, extremely tender and tasty short rib barbaco, jicama slaw and pineapple chipotle was crispy and fresh with a lovely dressing and topped off with a slightly spicy paprika mayo. The combination of flavors were outstanding. The polenta had the perfect amount of spice with the jalapenos and the polenta was a wonderful rich and creamy texture. Last but not least was the skinny margarita I ordered. They made the perfect margarita mix out of fresh limes and a nice amount of tequila. It was just how I love my homemade lemonade or margaritas with very little sweetness detected but just enough to take off some of the tartness of the lime juice. No syrupy sweetness or fake flavors! As a final applause the service was excellent as well and there was enough food that we will be making a second meal out of the leftovers making the price quite reasonable for the quality. We will definitely be coming back here when we visit in the future!"

"The restaurant is decorated beautifully, staff is nice and friendly.Our serve Wendy was very nice and helpful it was our first time and she recommended many different things she was great and shared lots of laughs with us. we all got the 3 tacos and a side for $18 which isn’t bad but personally I’ve had better for cheaper stake tacos were very chewy with no taste the food could use more seasoning. The rice was okay we also had the street corn that also had a weird taste. I would rate the food 2/10"

"This is a good spot to try Mexican food in Indianapolis. I had tacos al pastor and were so good. They also offer you white sangria that you need to try. Excellent service, Angelica was the best. She recommended our drinks and made our time special."

"Honestly a little underwhelmed. Beautiful restaurant and the service was great. Chips and salsa were just ok to me. Salsa is chunky style. The cocktails were fantastic. I had the coco loco, it reminded me of a desert, the nutmeg on top was an interesting spin. Wife loved her margarita. Both were quite strong. Wife ordered taco salad and really liked it. I had the pastor tacos with rice and didn't care for either. Both were incredibly underseasoned, and the pork had a flavor that was "off". The rice 2as even a bit underdone. Maybe it was an off night. I'd still give them another shot."
