"Came on a Saturday right after 6pm because of the Devour promotion [1 app, 2 salads, 2 entrees, 1 dessert for $39] because it seemed like a pretty good value and we had been here years ago and enjoyed it (we don't necessarily live close). It's a part of the Sahm family of restaurants and specializes in wood-fired pizzas and their own line of Big Lug Brewing beers. Having shared the promotion and timing of our arrival, there were several groups ahead of us when we checked in. We had actually looked up making reservations earlier in the week, but they do not take them sadly. So we wound up waiting a pretty good while to get a table. I believe we were towards the end of the rush as not many folks were behind us. So realizing how busy they had been combined with the promotion, I want to give the workers a bit of grace, as our service was OK in spells, but there were decent windows of time where no one checked in on us [i.e. 1st 5-10 minutes after we were seated & for spells after our order was taken]. I did appreciate that our server was somewhat aware of the situation as he asked to take our appetizer, salad, and entree orders after bringing our waters. I had considering ordering a beer, but decided not to in order to limit how much we were asking of the employed. Our salads arrived after a short bit, promptly followed by our appetizers. I was pleasantly surprised by the Rockstone Salad ($6.49) by both the quality as well as quantity of its mixed greens, peppadew peppers, shaved red onions, mozzarella, pistachios, and balsamic dressing. My wife felt similarly about her Roasted Beet salad ($6.49), which came diced w/crumbled feta, pistachios, peppadew peppers, arugula, mixed greens, and balsamic. She and I selected the Hoss Dip ($8), which included guacamole, black bean hummus, black bean salsa, & melted mozzarella with Frito scoops. It tasted fine and filled a small boat shape of a plate/bowl, although I didn't notice much guac and I would have preferred tortilla chips to the Fritos. All 5 of the folks in our party ordered 10" pizzas from their menu. While I believe each of us enjoyed the flavors of the toppings of our pizzas, they somehow managed to completely mix up the crust on each of our pizzas between the traditional and wood-fired crusts. Some wondered if we should mention something, but considering how shaky things had been service-wise up to this point, we didn't want to add additional time to our stay. So the pizzas were good, just not exactly as any of us had ordered. My wife and I shared the Papa Spinaka ($13.99 - fresh basil pesto, roasted garlic, mushroom truffle spread, feta cheese, ricotta, asiago blend, roasted redskin potatoes, peppadew peppers, mushrooms) and the Fresca ($13.99 - fresh basil pesto, mushroom truffle spread, green bell peppers, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella, ricotta, asiago blend, fresh arugula). I very much enjoyed the blend of flavors on the Papa while she preferred the combination of the Fresca (and also the wood-fired crust it had that she wanted on the Papa instead) Finally, we chose to go with the Peanut Butter Cream Pie ($8), which consisted of peanut butter whipped with cream cheese, folded with whipped cream and served in a brownie crust. It tasted fine, although we wondered if it had been frozen before, it was a tad messy with regard to presentation on the plate as it seemed to be lacking part of the brownie crust towards the middle of the pie, and probably would have been better with chocolate chips added. Altogether, our items would have normally cost $57 but were a pretty good deal at $39. If this experience was representative of any normal Saturday night, we probably wouldn't be back considering the shortcomings in service, order mixups, and not feeling it actually would have been worth pushing $70 with tip. We might consider returning, but will avoid popular times (weekend dinner) to hopefully improve the experience. And again, it may have simply been a result of the Devour promotion brining in more folks than they were equipped to handle efficiently."

"Last 2 visits were unacceptably and unapologetically slow. I don’t know if they are understaffed or just don’t care. We tried carry-out this last time and waited for almost 25 mins after they said it was “coming up”. Lady manager and also bartender/server are initially very helpful and pleasant and then just ignore the elephant in the room…where is the food and why isn’t anyone communicating or helping with the kitchen? We watched everything both times..from the bar while dining in and from carry out when we picked up. This will be a NO for us in the future specifically because of the unorganized and slow service. Our experience was at non-peak dining hours. The pizza is good..everything else is average at best."

"We live here locally and are always looking for quality places to eat. Rockstone is fantastic, they’re flatbreads are very good, and also the burger and fresh cut fries. Perfect! The beer selection is wonderful as well, we will definitely return many times!"

"This is our second time at the restaurant. We went last night for my husband's birthday with our kids. 4 of us all together. We were sat right away and greeted right away. Drink order was taken and delivered but then didn't see our server for another 20 minutes. Food order was taken- Devour menu and two kids pizzas. Then nothing for almost 30 minutes. Husband ordered several drinks that never showed. Then our appetizers and salads arrived- 20 minutes later our pizza arrived but not the kid's pizzas. We had to ask the server where the kids pizzas were and he forgot to put them in- no biggie. Kids pizzas arrived. We asked for dessert to go and boxes for left overs- the boxes never arrived. A manager never arrived to apologize and we were billed for extra drinks that we ordered but never received. Husband was very irritated and kids were hungry. Though our first experience was wonderful and had excellent service, with great food- not sure we will be back again. Better communication from the server and staff would have made all this a little better. Also I believe that the restaurant was under staffed."

"Great food and even better service. The bread sticks were fantastic. Really liked the tomatoes sauce and cheese with sausage. Pizza was decent, should have had the BBQ pizza. So many suggested it. Shame on us. Still it was good wood fired pizza. The s'mores pizza was good, a bit chewy in the crust. Overall good food and good price."
