"Good food, good price. Fond memories/visits of the broad ripple location brought us in. The bench seats and table could use some repair and could have used some refills from the waitress yet the burger and wings were delicious."

"I have been to Fat Dan's many times whether in Carmel or the in Indy. This is one of my favorite places to have meetings with Clients, Vendors or Partners. I met 2- Colleagues for lunch at 10:45am, we walked in and was rudely met by the Hostess reclined back at a table on her phone stating they were not open yet. I thought -ok we will wait outside until 11am. We walked back in at 11am to 2- hostesses at the stand just staring at us, I finally asked if we seat ourselves. Hannah the first hostess who told us they weren't opened, rolled her eyes' and sat us. At this point we were going to leave, but also really enjoy the food. There was 2-additional patrons who was sat after us and had drink orders placed and served prior to us getting our drink order placed. This will be the last time I spend time and money at the Carmel location, I have also heard that Hannah has treated other people this way recently. Fat Dan's on E Michigan St is the better location, the staff has always been friendly and courteous."

"When I travel I try to keep it as local as I can get! This little “deli” turned out to be a place that I would love to return! It’s got a “cheers” vibe kind of bar/restaurant! The host was great and made sure I didn’t have to wait long for my BLT! It was an amazing sandwich and a generous amount of Bacon! Served with chips! I would definitely like to spend a little bit longer at this establishment!"

"Good not impressive. I remember trying Fat Dan's many years ago when they first opened in broad ripple. The owner was there and he told us about how he came from Chicago which made us even more excited because we are also from northern Indiana and our playground was Chicago. Food, party, bars, concerts, festivals, car shows, just an entire vibe. Let's not leave out the food. Chi-town has a food game,a vibe in itself. Back to the review. We ordered the best burger we had ever had, the fries were separate, I think that was a new experience for me as at that time most places you could go to a restaurant and at least have an option of ordering combo style. I was relatively new to the area, the prices were a tad bit expensive for just the burger and fries but conversing with the owner, his hospitality and all made the cost worthwhile that day. Fast forward to a location closer to where I live today in Carmel we decided to give it another try with a flashback in mind from the original visit. Chicken wings sound amazing along with pizza, so that's what we ordered vegetable pizza, smoked chicken wings and a burger. The wake and bake burger with egg on it my daughter said was delightful, the smoke wings were good, even better with sauce and a pizza was decent, the place could have used a little tidying up. It wasn't crowded at all, staff appeared to be having time to frolic around and fraternize with one another but the place definitely could use some good housekeeping. Service was good, I'm not rushing back though."
