"I can't speak for the food, since I didn't have any (though it smelled delicious!) but the milkshakes were really good! As a drive-in it is a small location, and it does have a few picnic style tables and a bathroom (though it is tiny, and not handicap friendly). I thought the waitstaff was polite and sweet, there was a small mishap with the order, but it was ironed out quickly. A note, the location is cash only! So come prepared!"
"This is an American classic for sure and the root beer is unparalleled in its excellence. When I was a kid my dad always told me that the "BK" in this name was for "BEST KIND" and while I'm certain that is untrue it really is the best kind of root beer. My only complaints are that they only accept cash and that I Believe by doing that they're making it harder for future generations to think of it as a serious summertime option. Many times I have wanted to stop and that had any cash with me as I don't really carry that anymore and many more times my children have mentioned it, but I know for certain they don't carry cash and really never have. My other complaint would be that they close at 8:00 p.m. In the summer and while this might have been an acceptable time before Indiana was forced to join the daylight savings whims of Mitch Daniels it no longer makes sense because the sun doesn't set in the summertime until near 10:00 p.m. Many is the time that I've thought of running over there only to discover that it's 8:05 p.m. and I don't have any cash on me. There is some old World goodness at this place and certainly some great food (not great for you, but you know what I mean) - but these two things "also old world I suppose" of cash and early close make it not quite perfect."
