"I had an old aluminum level, ace brand, with a lifetime warranty. It had some use on it, yes. They said they could replace it, but only with the ace brand stuff. None of the ace brand levels they had were even aluminum any more. Lifetime warranty should mean they will replace it with a comparable product, and they did replace it, but with a cheap plastic level. They had comparable levels of a different brand, but they wpuld only exchange for an ace brand level, that didnt come with a lifetime warranty like the last one did. Nice enough people, but evidently lifetime warranty might not actually get you a comparable product."
