"Went to store in the car, found a treadmill that we wanted. Was going to go ahead and pay for it and return in my truck a few hours later and pick it up. Was told that they couldnt do that. We would have to buy online. You can buy online and do store pickup and it would have been the same outcome. Manager was such a jerk about it. Called corporate and they said their is no policy in place to not do that. Corporate also said it was really at the disgression of the manager. So this manager just cost them a sale on a pretty large priced item. Will never shop there again."

"We always shop Academy for outdoor gear and gifting. It's good to have an athletic store to visit with affordable pricing. Most sports shops have closed due to online ordering but we love to try on shoes , clothing and equipment. Clearance racks are also great deals. Customer service and cashiers are helpful at East Chase Montgomery location along with the Prattville location."

"Not willing to honor sticker price at checkout even though 8 other shirts had the same sticker. Rude individuals too, “my manager gone tell you the same thing… what it scan is what the price is.” … unprofessional. I’ll do my shopping elsewhere or online."

"My brother ordered a Adidas jogger online for me to pick up at Montgomery store, after receiving an email confirmation I went to pick up the jogging suit and I realized after getting home there was only a jacket in the bag. I called the store several times prior to driving back there and no one EVER answered the phone. After returning to the store I informed the associate that I was missing the pants. She then call the what may have been a supervisor or manager. The said person in charge then tell me that the pants were not available and they were canceled out. I was not allowed to even replace the pants with another item. Problem 1...why was there an option to purchase an item that was not available in the first place??? Problem 2....why didn't anyone answer the phone prior to me making a second trip to the store to inquire about the missing item...Problem 3...the person in charge never solved the problem..she was just sorry for my inconvenience. Thanks for helping me or not have my gift for my mom."
