"3,000 miles ago I had my regular service interval which included an engine flush among many other things at the dealership. I drove to Havoline today to get my oil changed as it has been 3k miles and the service technician started telling me that my oil was excessively dirty and needed to be cleaned. He also told me that he used to work at dealerships and that dealerships don’t do the work you pay for, they just say they do them. He then tried to sell me the service and tell me I should get it done every 3 oil changes or 10,000 miles. Showing me the oil on the dipstick as if I couldn’t see that there was normal wear and only a very slight discoloration. My dad was a mechanic. The service technician attempted to insight panic into a car owner in an attempt to sell a service. He also badmouthed dealerships in an attempt to sell this service. I called my dealership and they assured me nothing was wrong with my car but if I would like to bring it by they would check it out for me as a courtesy. This was my first experience here and I will not be back."
