"Old Black Bear has been around for a long time and you can see why. I used to come often a long time ago and I'm glad to see it still doing well. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive and knowledgeable. They have 10 beers on tap and a good selection of styles to choose from. The beers were good. We ordered some food. It was packed and the wait time wasn't bad at all. I got the Madison Hott Chicken Sandwich with fries. I guess my only issue is that the fries are soggy. The last time I went they were soggy as well so that might just be the way they do fries. Also my chicken was a little dry but not unpleasantly so. The house made hot sauce was really good though and the portion sizes are huge. You definitely get what you pay for. We also had a gift card and that was handled smoothly too. Definitely one of the better places to eat and drink in the area."

"OBB has great food, beer, and cocktails! My latest experience was eating brunch. I had the Fried Chicken Benny and a Blood Orange Mule. My friend had an omelet and a Chocolate Espresso Martini. All the food was great. I also LOVE their pimento cheese. If I go for lunch I have to get it, either as an appetizer or on the burger. Yummy!"

"This was our first time here. Several friends have been saying we needed to check it out. We decided to get out today for lunch/dinner and drinks. Old Black Bear was a absolute delight and we will be going back. If you haven’t been here yet I would suggest going. Outside is Pet Friendly, good seating both indoors and outside. They have live music starting at 6pm. Many daily specials and we will be going back for the Sunday Brunch and checking out the bottomless Mimosas for sure. The atmosphere is super chill and the wait staff make it even better. Quick service, friendly, great suggestions on what’s good and they make you feel at home. Jason A was a super great server. Very pleased with the service that he gave us. OBB is kid friendly also. We will be going back for sure and might even make this a monthly stopping spot.
