"I called and asked about a set of tires and was given a price. We Agreed to the price and set up a time for an appointment. I show up, and he’s already locked the place down and is headed towards his car. He told me he forgot we had an appointment. He told me since we had the mishap to come back tomorrow at the same time and he would give me a discount on the previously agreed upon price. Which I thought was very kind. I didn’t ask for the discount, he offered it. Unprompted. He said "I'll be here tomorrow and set you up. I give you, my word." So, I called the next morning to make sure he would be there. He told me yes and said we were still a go for that afternoon and the discounted price. I go in later that afternoon and he’s not there again. His brother is there and tells me he won’t sell the tires to me at the discounted price that Edgar gave me. So, I leave. I called him again the next day and he apologizes for the mishap. Says he'll set the tires out with the agreed upon price and put a note on it for his brother. I got there and after they removed my tires, the brother comes to me to tell me the tires laid out are the wrong size. I see at that point that he's also written down a price that was much higher than what we agreed upon. His brother calls Edgar to discuss and he's downright disrespectful and rude. He’ll barely even let me speak. He tells me to take the tires at his new price or leave without. Meanwhile, there are no tires on my truck. I’ve already missed 3 partial days of work. I really needed to get this down. So, I agreed to just pay his price and get out of there. I should have just taken my business elsewhere. Even if the tires were discounted, the time and money lost from taking off work coupled with the lies isn’t worth. I will not go back. * The response below is inaccurate. I apologize if I misquoted his name. I was told his nickname but may have forgotten his actual name. The first time I went there, Red was getting in his car to leave and asked me to come back tomorrow. Thats when he offered the discount. Again, I didn't ask him for it. He offered it. If the tires are $1,100 then why did he tell me $650 to begin with? He told me that price before any of this happened. So, $650 was the starting price he quoted me. This was before the discount was ever mentioned. He then offered a lower price after he missed our appointment. I also called several places and either found that tire or one just like it, and your number of $1,100 is inflated. By a good bit. The second time I left is because Red's brother told me he wouldn't sell them at the price Red told me. Which I understand, he didn't hear the conversation. So, after being told I'd need to wait another 20 minutes, it wasn't 5, and not get the discounted price, I decided to leave. Regarding your hours. I was there at 4:45 every time. Thats the time that was given to me and within your 5:00 PM window. I didn't set that time. My tires were absolutely off my truck when the discussion about the tire size being wrong took place. I was also told the tire size did affect the price and that was one of the reasons the discounted price wasn't honored. I wasn’t trying to fight for the discounted price the night my tires were put on. I was simply just trying to have the conversation and explain that I brought a set amount of money with me because that’s what I was told the out of the door price would be and for some clarity, but I wasn’t allowed to speak on it. Every time I tried to mention he talked over me and eventually yelled “take it or leave it.” Even if I don’t like you and disagree with you, Ill hear you out and be civil in my response. That wasn’t the case. I won’t continue going back and forth. This is my piece/comments from the experience."
