"If you genuinely enjoy Chinese food, do not order from a A1 Chinese. I had the absolute worst experience. I just moved here to Semmes a week or 2 ago and thought that a highly rated Chinese spot would be exactly what we needed to settle into our home. I did take out and when I got home I was WILDLY disappointed. The Chinese fried rice was not fried, it's smelled like seafood, and it had zero taste. My lunch special Mongolian beef had less than an ounce of beef in it, and that's being generous. The rangoons that we ordered were doughey. I've never had every single item be horrible in a takeout order before. You've been warned. It then took 30 minutes for them to issue me a refund. After fighting me about the amount of onion in the Mongolian beef (they tried to convince me that digging for meat was normal), the main front person yelled at somebody on the phone for those entire 30 minutes before rudely asking what my card number was. She never apologized for being horribly rude the entire time, or ignoring me for 30 minutes while she yelled (and I mean YELLED) at someone on the phone about refunding it. I would recommend every other place except for this one.."
"Got take out & shrimp were rank in the lo mien. No way they didn't smell when raw & then cooked anyway. Ruined the whole meal threw most of it way. Will not be going back, too many other options. Egg rolls & dumplings were typical Chinese take out."
"We’ve been living in Semmes for a really long time and we have never tried A1 Chinese…. And that’s a shame because our first take out order was off the chain!! We ordered the General Tsos chicken with noodles instead of rice!! Coconut shrimp and two egg rolls!! Called it in for pick up, and it was ready in ten minutes and delicious when we got home!! Wish we would have known how good it was a lot sooner!! Do the damn thing A1!!"
"Ordered honey chicken, general tso and pork noodles. Honey chicken is covered in what tastes like KETCHUP and the general ain't thier general!! Guess the cook is off on Saturday. I'm never ordering here again! I can't BELIEVE they put KETCHUP as a replacement for honey!!!"
"By far our favorite Chinese take out in Mobile County!! We drive 20-25 mins to get it, when there are closer options! Always fresh, hot, and flavourful!!"
